My lilies, bruised and holey
Their leaves a tattered mess …
Blame the lily-beetles,
Those devils in a red dress.

I've discovered my cool spot~

Green, are lily pads
Floating on a waterfall.
Clear of pollution?
Indeed I dare not say yes.
But soon there will come a day.
come back swiftly spring
lily trumpets announcing ~~
warmer days ahead

[enough already!]
group of lily pads floating
small fish are jumping for bugs
murky water clouds your view

White petals torn, crushed,
when autumn comes too heavy,
forgotten in piles,
powdery stamens floating
atop lakes of buzzing air.

"What kind of flower
Pulls us into the future
And offers us hope?"
She turned away, hid her face,
And softly spoke, "White Lily."
Little lilly, lovely and lithe,
Lifting your lush head,
Lovely and light, lingering in the sun.
Laugh little lad, as you lift one.
Cold water music
pond nymphs skate soft chord ripples
fireflys flash dance
lily pad tables for two
Catfish play hooky from school
Lily is quite a looker
She dresses like a hooker
Dave made a mistake
Asking her for a date
Her husband is a bouncer named Butcher
clementine honey
the buzzing bees beholding
a budding lily
i’m adoring audible
crooning of colorful bloom

Behold the frog pond!
And beautiful lily pads
Alive. And bonded.

Paint me a picture lily white
Showing how struggle fought the night
Through the dark of agony’s smite
Into the arms of Christ, delight.
Where are you sister?
Ground chews sweet leaves
Wind fans fall tree particles.
Sufis whip up Lily air.
I know the Loves are always.
The God of Pandemics is silly
Displaying less sense than a lily
The rest of us know
The virus can't grow
Where no one has a 6' willie!
As soon as God lifted the veil
An angel appeared beyond pale
So bright lily white
My toes curled in fright
And even worse, she was a male!
Twilight torpid pond
Shadow falls on lily pad
Silence broken, croak
Autumn plume of winter air
Watery hibernation.
He croaks as he waits
Calling for love from his pad
She answers the call

For the Haiku: Lily-pads And Frogs by Sidney LeeAnn
Gathering sweet lily of the valley
Red geraniums calling me by name.
Chrysanthemums signing in on the game.
Tulips winning if I were to tally.
blooming daylily
gold asiatic lily....
hummingbird sips spring
back door opens to garden
hummingbird tries to enter
There once was a man called Billy.
He said, "See the lovely Lily!"
She wasn't young,
But had a sweet tongue,
How could he say no to her silly.
