My pup had puddin’ in a cup
Tapioca and mocha
Downed it, bottoms up!
Had the runs, got into a fit
Made it in time
Lickety-split
A sanctioned priest fell in his cell
Lickety-split straight down to Hell
He grabbed a spade
But for its shade
Since Climate Change does not bode well
She ran through the streets lickety-split
like a fine race horse chomping her bit
a race for the throne
winner gets the cone
cold ice cream crown a tasty tidbit
If I had my own fleet I would not squander it
Would head toward China lickety-split
agree to sell their goods and take a wee bit
cannot tariff me, said my bold cousin Chit
Amanda write limericks so darn quick
She just dashes them off lickety-split
Somehow she gets them to rhyme
Finishing each one in time
To post them before you can hit 'Submit'
lanky lean lithe limber lollygagging Leo loved a little lampoonery
loving lasting laughter, leisurely learning lemonade lessons
lickety split, laundering little leagues of lithographs in lime
When you give your body
proficient time
Your mind will hope
to lickety-split
complete our rhythmic
resonant
reasoned
just right...
Rhyme
when given
our incarnate body
proficient time...
I’d rather you be miffed
than irritated, vexed
bothered or annoyed
For if you are only miffed
we’ll kiss and make up

Love grows lickety-split
In the innocent hearts of
Children.
Keeping trust and hope alive;
Especially in
The very
Young.
Some
Philosophers contend that
Love
Is unique to
The soul of Man, and I agree.
Living
Independtly
Can cause
Keepsake

To turn into traumatized
Yearnings
So some

Longevity of life
Involves a great amount of
Courage and requires
Kindness
Empathy
Tenderness
Yourself respect
Speed of a lifetime
Possesses many twists
Leading us down
Interpersonal roads
Till death doth us part.

Contest Lickety Split.
Down came jolly Santa, lickety-split
not checking to see if a fire was lit.
He shot out of the chimney
while dancing a fast shimmy-
His job is oft harder than he'll admit!

lickety split whickety way
I think I’ll make a puppy today
Some fur, big paws and lots of love
stir this cauldron with a giant glove
expectations are everything
he’ll leap from this pot with a ring-a-ling
slurpy slippy slimy slippy suppy
where are you, my sweet loyal puppy?
“I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream”
Ice Cream lyrics by Howard Johnson 1927
LICKETY-SPLIT
pied piper’s sprint
in a child’s cul-de-sac
dishy melody
little legs come running forth
taking their licks in no time

Tired Fairy Granny did sit
Upon the sunflower's brown seed.
As dragonfly round her did orbit,
Then from her small hand did feed.
As darkness overtook the sky,
Fairy Gran needs to babysit.
She will have to be rested to fly,
And get there lickety-split.
boisterous beekeeper was bathed, bound and belted.
besieged by bevy of beauties whose beeswax was melted.
fickle, frantic, frolicking friendly freedom, freshly felted.
persnickety, lickety-splickety personified, pointed and pelted.
On a sweaty, snarly summers eve swiggled, swayed and swelted.

who named the cuckoo clock
a timekeeper down the block?
who came up with the term lickety-split?
funny to say, so I repeat it quite a bit.
who invented the infamous pet rock?
maybe a writer who also penned a clock’s tick tock.
pedal pushers we used to call capris.
way back in the day, at the Tasty Freeze.
Listen to poem:
Like a flash
I was beaten
Caught in the blink of an eye
Knowing not why I was so, so
Easily beaten
Till I saw the chain
You hooked on my behind.
Splutter and stumble
Puffed and spent
Losing the battle
I was hell bent
To win the reprisal
Long legs travel faster
Incendiary post:
Checkered past,
Knocked up.
Eager ears!
Tell me more!
Yodel across the valley...
Soap box
Platform.
Lick more stamps!
In conclusion, gossip
Travels lickety-split!

A Song is --
Not words on paper
or a tune from the lips
To reflect moments poignant
is never lickety-split
I've racked my brain
searched my soul
Still no results
and I'm getting old
It's time, I feel
to take a real chance
To knock on the door of my heart
and invite her to dance
lickety-split is my word of choice
loving the rare 1863 buffalo nickel
too many coins to put in the machine
crazy ways about you, not to be mean
furiously fast, frenzied, frazzled and discombobulated
Two dimes are spit out by this machine, not related
likety splickety schmickety blickety hickety licky diky mee
what type glow turn into fury?
Like diamonds bathed in sun,
Islands in the
Caribbean call my name.
Kiss me with your sultry
Energy and charm.
There’s a beach bum waiting for me, with
Yellow hair bleached by the sun.
Such longing I feel, as he
Pulls me to paradise, where.
Love blooms at last.
If only in a wink-of-the-eye dream,
Tropical splendor is mine.
