Epigram
Once was a girl named Desire
She was known to be quite a liar
She birthed a child
The issue now
Is which boyfriend is the true sire
the clock tells its own story
hands drifting where they shouldn’t go
hours bending under its whim
time learns to wander
Columbus despised local folk
Like Trump, he fibbed as he spoke
But truth be told
He wanted their gold
And you know that man ended up broke
A liar was
Lying on the road
And being lied
By some professional liars.

Integrity is on the skids
When Trump berates us for his fibs
We think he should pay
By reading each day
Peter and The Wolf to school kids!
Donald Trump can tell every lie
And leave us all wondering why
The facts are quite clear
But Trump has no fear
That Russia will vote him, "Bye bye!"
My poetry really does suck.
I look for true rhymes, but get stuck.
Though my meter is fine,
When you follow each line
you’ll see that they all run amok.
He was a chicken thief now and then.
Until he met a beautiful twin.
Pretended he’d changed.
Marriage was arranged.
Taught his children how to swindle men.
If one believes the praises of a liar it means that something in him these lies is praying to hear!

Full of bluster and blow was this woman
Intricate lies and stories had become her fun
But when it came right down to proof
The truly innocent were those who won
Billy was ten and building a rocket.
He claimed no one his age could top it.
The day came for the firing
But a blunder in the wiring
Made it end up in Billy’s pants pocket.
