Leaflet
" It's a short venture into the golden fields, where blank leaflets remain unpressed by the teacher of its province, the sole architect of conception that remains transfixed upon the gossamer harvest, that binds its influence in the tethering of its being. " Alfredo Gonzales ©

Peace For Me Now
Peace For Me Now

	after Baghdad

On the table by the window
balanced on its spine

this leaflet
butterfly open

and still as a
butterfly.

Peace for me now
zephyr through leaflet.

Peace for me soon
caribou and snow,

loping caribou
and caribou reclining.

Premium Member Wandering Leaflet
veiny leaflet wisp
transported on a gentle wind
until she met a spider’s web

lacey floaty thing
imagined by a faerie king
caught hard and fast

dried and motionless now
a brown and crumbly thing
which had started out so hopeful

veiny leaflet wisp
disappearing totally
back into the earth...

Abandoned To Alcohol
burning arrows from my heart bottles empty placating dart lies concealed in hidden secret diamonds write in veiled leaflet hide from view all engraved words bury burdens with blurred absurd fill the sky with countless stars appointed bars to hide the scars float your bottles out to sea as alcohol sets solitude free © Kim van Breda—March 2014

New Beginnings
New Beginnings

. Shyly the tender shoots
. Aspired to reach the skies
. Each leaflet uncurling slowly
        To hum its unsaid fondest story;
Some brought smiles all around
A few left us with moist eyes...

I Returned
I Returned
I saw her outside the house
I jumped out of the bus
I ran...no, I flew to her, I felt
Pearls rained from her clouds
Drops flowed along her cheeks
Like dew drops over a rose leaflet
She bite on her reddish lips
She sent me welcoming smiles
She threw herself in my arms and melt
And her black-night silky hair covered us
          I missed you, she said
Me too, me too I returned...

Sower Poet Heart
That the heart
always be a poet
to leaflet beauty
around the world...
That always prescribe
joy as a deep medicine...
That it is always done
safe way,
perpetual...
So be it
walker of all
the places and streets...
To teach love
to all, in all
nooks and crannies...
express itself
always abundant,
profuse in verse
and kisses...
May it always be
student, lover,
in the marches and
processions...!...

The Closing of Summer
I see the buzzing of a bumble bee,
and hear the hummingbird’s sweet tune-
I know summer is closing for the year,
as watch the rising of the harvest moon.

I know the days get much shorter,
and the twilight arises as the sun soon fades-
But nothing compares to the sights I see,
of the Autumnal crimson leaflet blades.

Old Songs
I hear old songs
And remember old days,
And long for those old nights,
And realize that time,
Long passed by…
Is too old to walk back

But the playlist rounds and rounds
Like the leaflet drifted on the street
Looking for its path
Onto where the wind would lift
Always coming back to my feet.

There to me plays your laugh
The rhythms of your touch
But the echo of my name
You tenderly spoke in the rain
How I wish to play again....

Poetical Therapy
Poetry,
         read it as leaflet but
       shake yourself before using ...
       have it regularly,
       therapeutically,
sip it drop by drop ...
       Poetry,
       blessed therapy,
       occupational ...
       natural medicine,
       powerful remedy
       against all evil ...
       Poetry,
       panacea, placebo
       adequate.
       Formula of words,
       nutritious soup of letters ...
       Addictive magic potion
       well it does ...!...

Last Wish
Across a flowered field, I gaze.
A daisy weeps through morning haze.
One lone petal departs her side -
a "love-me-not" is softly sighed.

Gazing away from love denied -
one more leaflet from thee is pried.
Another dream towards fate's romance;
a petal plucked lends second chance.

The daisy's hearth has met defeat.
Her children sob beneath her feet.
Deflowered by a lover's act -
one last petal remains in tact.

"Love-me-not or love me so true?"
I leave that answer up to you....
