Skating through life,
Oblivious to strife;
If you hit a wall,
You won’t bounce like a ball,
But you may still survive.
Asking what the government can do will garish
And telling what the goverment can do will cherish
But ignoring what the government can do will perish
Submission to the sleeping lion
Seeing his shadow as a place to lie in
The darkness of eternal obscurity and sin
Not unveiling our bright star clothed in skin
The dolphins in the sea of Malibu
Love playing game of peek-a-boo
In summer, on the beach
As lazy as sucking leach
Watching fun, we lie on sand as bamboo

He wanted from poverty to flee,
A solution he could not see.
To take a job,
Would laziness rob,
So back to the couch was he.
I marvel at my laziness
amused by my lethargy
loving my willingness to be a sloth
retirement has flattened me out
slowed me down
I have gone from type A
to frozen food chill
Kindness blends with kindness
Anger sires anger
Mindfulness lingers with reason
Affection grows in caring and charity
Laziness retards inspiration
Abstinence dissolves patriotism...
Long summer days bid everyone
To finish the work to be done
But also think of ways
To do nothing but laze
In hammocks hung far from the sun.

Morning is of laziness out of bed.
Afternoon is awaiting rest ahead...
Of night that can't even sleep,
Through night's dream quietly deep
Whenever soul's freedom be rightly led
Sunbeams, sassafras, seagulls, and sassiness
lightbulbs, lightning bolts, lethargy, and laziness,
life yields wonder and wounds and sometimes
fascinating vocabulary can transform pain into pondering
I lay resting in a bed of dreams,
as time slipped away.
Heavy with the world's grief,
weakness awaits me—
laziness settles in my skin,
while all around, the spirit falls still.

I was held in a tight grip
The sweat now running down my slip
I stuck my leg out and lifted my toe
To tickle his belly too and fro
He loosened his grip and went for a dip
My feet hit the hot sand once more.
was headed for some summer fun
to the beach in the blazing sun
but the day was hazy
it made me quite lazy
people just thought I was a bum
