'you Got Me On My Knees'
Slide shrieks in anguish
Nearing dog-whistle domain
Then he makes it cry...

Listening To Layla
Seven decades old today
And years away from Cream,
Eric Clapton, on guitar,
Will always reign supreme.

Listening to “Layla,”
I’m amazed it sounds so fresh,
Like the man himself were standing here
Before me, in the flesh.

A rocker keeps on rocking
Often to the crowd’s lament
But in Clapton’s case, quite clearly,
Time has barely made a dent!...

Lockdown
Lockdown
They plan for it
For my own good
Lockdown
Hand on the handle
Key turning
Lockdown
Scent of that woman
“Layla” in my ears
Lockdown
Closing of the door
Such a sad sound
Lockdown
Somewhere between heaven and hell
Knees creaking
Lockdown
Can’t lie
Play the blues for me
Lockdown
Can’t come over
Don’t need a big name
Lockdown
Just play the blues
The thrill isn’t gone...

Premium Member Layla and Majnun
Flower of love bloomed in dunes of desert
Besotted Layla carried in niche of her heart
It withered in the tribal Arabian harsh summer
Unrequited virgin love went to the grave with her.

Deranged Majnun wandered in love’s wasteland
Etched the requiem of broken heart on desert sand
With the parched wind before his last breath was gone
He became hers, his poem engraved on her gravestone.

Neurodeus Dophamine
Enthroned Qeis-Layla lay under God,
Propheted a mania in madness blood.

The spark of a padma has not died,
A sorrow Hansel-Gretel lacrimated.

A just far away lady likeness,
Adore God for the grimness.

Tristan- Isolde has begged Eden stair,
A chivalric ludus tore apart the affair.

Asking God to love is cup idly,
Anthony-Cleopatra quelled vividly.

When romantic feelings are triggered,
God laughed....

Premium Member Layla Is the Ultimate Party Pooper
Layla suffered from Cotards Delusion.
No one could convince her that she was not deceased.
She lay in her bed, prone and stiff for hours.
Believing herself a corpse.
We all tried to wake her or disturb her.
But Layla was fully into her dead role.
I am dead, she thought.
Determined to be.
Layla refused to talk or move.
She would not eat or drink.
In a few hours we left.
Tired of trying to coax and cajole the ultimate party pooper....

His Cliff Notes
Portals of haunting lovers nigh

Etched loves notes

Neath each hallows moon, whispers in glades you hear

Crying of souls place of trinity

Embossed with warm soul opens the blessed knots of time

Layla soft rose stillness

Charmed palisades

I love you

Intricate each portal of time

Hazy opaque desires light, in towers shine and the spirits play

Each given ineffable, lasting hearts

Lovers eyes drift

To feel his love rose cliff notes...
