True Belief

Yesterday came silently
The Muses languished
Obligated they parade
waiting for their day
Night time dissipates true belief

Habitual Resentment

Ever present, sometimes languished,
Almost gone, then reestablished.
This is why, defences high!
To your offer, no reply...

Summer Yields To Fall

languished and fading
roses hang their heads in shame
whilst berries flourish

Always Wanted To Travel the Stream In Liquid Form

allayed down the alley
streaked down every street
Rode on every road
languished with the lane
close was always loss
Avant guards the ave knew
squares were never around
Just tray revealing

Trump Had a Hula Hoop

Trump Had A Hulahoop

About Trump have heard the latest scope;
Had one heck of a time with a hula hoop;
Hard of hearing;
Twilight is nearing;
Long ties he languished did dip into soup.

Lackadaisical

Listless as a slug, he
  lowered his standards, as
    lazy habits lingered.
      Leaving a good job, his
    life languished. With such a
  lax demeanor, a whole
lot of time was wasted.

Pure Devotion

Young moonlit eyes flame

    roused by infatuation
       until seasons change...

     hearts bearing nights’ languished thorns
as pure devotion ripens

Regret

Regret,
a bitter
ache to bear . . .

once starlight
languished
in your hair . . .

a shining there
as brief
as rare.

Regret . . .
a pain
I chose to bear . . .

unleash
the torrent
of your hair . . .

and show me
once again—
how rare.

Waterfall

We languished near the cascading water
Lush forests of birch, aspen and juniper grow
A bridge spans across the stream, me and my daughter.
Natural beauty I'm sure you'll easily recognize and know,
A panoramic view, though in winter beware of the snow.

Jagged Framework

Within a fecundity of fatuity
Squandered were all endeavors
Fazed I eluded
Unequivocal passion was sought
Yet still squandered were all endeavors
Candid without knowledge
Lacerated and forsaken
Forlorn I languished
Betwixt the vacuous cracks
Of black and white pavements

Today

Goodbye, the year
I shed no tear
For time now past
As shadows cast
The languished days away.

Come, I pray,
A brighter ray
Of sunny gleams
For future dreams
To hang my hopes therein.

Wherein now, I must begin
As minutes spin
The steps I take
Can lose or make
That, for which I hope; Today.

Bajou

you gave a bajou
and the summer rain
toppled and confused
we left under our own accords

In the morning
we recanted,
sitting in misery
you said you never loved us

we tried to stroke our bruised egos
but the arcane wind was chaffing,
with the rest of your friends
we sweetly languished
unkissed by the dawn

Julie

Justified in admiration, she's loathe to believe.
Unbeknownst to her the reasons others do perceive.
Languished in a life compared, she feels that she is wanting.
Instead of despair from that which she finds daunting,
Eventually she steels herself against all doubt;
opening her heart to let her love come pouring out.

Woods In Shadowed Flight

I
knew
your woods
through every
quiver of bonfires...
although our music pealed a wind
flamed evensongs quickly languished,
cleaving my breaths into dry twigs; and hushing a faceless moon
                                                                 with your shadow-dance flight.

No Sugar

Sickness sucks the sugar off
Tongues tied to thoughts of tomorrow
If the ingredients don't add up
I search for a cup to borrow
Lost souls left in a breezless meadow
Waiting for a seed to sprout
Can't you hear my shout
Languished and left in peace
Gripping ghosts of past deceased
Sticking the sick with crosses denied
Why do I anymore try

A New

As though a barrier surrounds my soul,
Languished heart has thus unfold,
Promising wishes propel my dream,
Proof of existence raw deal it seams.

Realistic fantasies run through my mind,
Shield me from,
All of man kind,
Show me the err of my way,
Confront the demon that has lead me a-stray,
Console my body as a mother to her young,
Let me be reborn,
Again a son.

Hippy hyena hid hipster hippo’s hysteria.
Ignominious iguana ignored Iceland’s icky industries.
Jovial jelly jars joyfully jumped jubilantly into June.
Kind kangaroos killed Kansas’s killjoy kindnesses.
Loving lithe llamas languished, lacking lonely leaders.
Marvelous magnificent magicians masqueraded as maestros.
Needless nutcrackers helped hippy hyenas hide hippos’ hysteria.

Gone

She was like one taking to air on a wing,
Ensuing years cried out, show us your face.
As we languished behind feeling time's sting,
Zephyrs were carrying her from place to place.

The wind constantly whispered to us her name,
Periodically it seemed to appear as a gust.
And many years later our prayers answer came,
Because for her, in God, we'd placed our trust.

Shirlene was lost to us for many years.

The Gift of Loneliness

 ( For Janice · Last Gift · A metaphor )

Thank you for throwing me away-
rolled like a ball- cast to confusion.

I've passed through dew-struck fields-of-hope;
languished in echos of forest night,

to arrive first-light above the quiet valley,
as morning-smoke lifts to radiant clouds.

This gift of loneliness is all I take.
I watch the hawk make slow-circles in the air.

No

No Miracle Man 6/19/2022 Etched in prayer, this word I didn’t speak, One that languished, lusting to be heard. Lacking time, and without inclination to critique, I let it remain, another small unspoken word. I reserved this word, having not embedded deep, thinking I might use it some opportune day. But to tongue it lacked the impetus to creep, why was this minuscule word, so hard to say.

Multicolors On Green

In the wide meadow, there were colors on the green,
Perfumed and lovely, and dancing in yellow sunbeams,
In the deepest emerald, were creams and tangerines,
Beauty had roamed someplace, where it'd never been!

In a deep green meadow, waited sunshine's hued kiss,
Not considerably far, from the heart's deepest wish!
Along lush byways, pinks golds and blues were lavish,
Deep in gold, 'til in silvery moonlight they languished!

The Desert

Aye we languished 'neath a blazing sun
As wearily we dropped one by one
Sand so blinding to the naked eye
So harsh to make a grown man cry
Parched and cracked with naught to drink
Delirium, so a man can't think
Lost and stumbling through the dev'lish heat
We cooked to death like so much meat
Six we were, then five, then four
I am the last, the others no more
So I pen this note to my lovely wife
But to the desert I give my life

Precious Rib

I languished in pool of pains
I sat the brook of tears
Oh my rib; do I submit to creed?
The tribal bridge couldn’t have barred me
Look up oh precious rib
Behold the serene climate
Stand firm oh rib; hold firm
Sail the stormy ship with me
I saw the cloud assembled
So I became resolute to walk the rain
Does that mean you never saw it?
The range land is near
Break the cord of tribe and creed
Weary not your heart
Stand firm oh rib; hold firm

Jail To Fame

Joseph so refused to sin
He ended up in jail
Jesus too refused to sin
And He never did fail

His God kept kept Him so safe
While He languished in pain
His God kept Him sane
And kept Him in His lane
Of truth and righteousness
And beauty for His dress
Peace and glory He had gained
After He had not complained

Joseph rose from jail to fame
From the rough end of the ride
And to him the glory came
With God always by his side

At the Second Floor of the Land-Lord House

At the second floor of the land-lord house
A lantern gleams all night long
Its light can be seen beyond the sash of the window
Dimly…
When nocturnal birds also return to nests
The eyes of stars are languished due to drowsiness
Footfall already stops
Fireflies are also tired by sparkling light
The voice of crickets are also chocked
Yet…
In a room of the second floor of the land-lord house
A lantern flickers dimly All night long…
