Notes About The Poem

Woods In Shadowed Flight

I
knew
your woods
through every
quiver of bonfires...
although our music pealed a wind
flamed evensongs quickly languished,
cleaving my breaths into dry twigs; and hushing a faceless moon
                                                                 with your shadow-dance flight.

It certainly is a contradiction of terms, Nette. Elegantly mystical with a despairing undercurrent of unavoidable fate! Very nicely put together! My very best regards!! :) john.
