An unknown journey in the mind

Accumulated knowledge defying

I look at it in awe.
What could it be?
The long coveted toy
or a sweater knitted with love.
There it sits, taunting me.
I shake it, there is no sound.
It is so pretty
covered in greens and gold
topped with a large red bow.
It intrigues me.
What could fit in such a box?
But none the less
I must wait
til the morning of St. Nick....
