Full of eddies in unknown lands
Was it a chance or magic of art?

Going upward to fly in skies
An unknown journey in the mind
Full of intrigues, all supplying
Accumulated knowledge defying
But the poor old brain is shocked
By centuries of old useless stock....

I look at it in awe.
What could it be?
The long coveted toy
or a sweater knitted with love.
There it sits, taunting me.
I shake it, there is no sound.
It is so pretty
covered in greens and gold
topped with a large red bow.
It intrigues me.
What could fit in such a box?
But none the less
I must wait
til the morning of St. Nick....
