In Russia do not drink is infraction
if not vodka it causes rejection
whoever is abstemious is screwed
must live cloistered and booed
The gate's infraction
Clothed in innocent beauty
Endless sleep awaits

Listen to poem:
Doing it in halves
is a half-life in action
for the inaction infraction
when job's half done
is a fearful act,
delivering defeat and failure
in measure brim full.
Three mice in a teacup, head toward the finish line.
If they do not get the cup, they will certainly whine.
I watch them carefully, wondering about any infraction.
They win the race, and cheer their blatant satisfaction.
I made a secret shop today...
Drove to downtown Tampa Bay
We dined for free, or so they say
It's a lot of work for meager pay...
Timing the waiter's every action
While noting each tiny infraction
Caused me plenty of dissatisfaction
That will be my final interaction...
Incognito
September is here
With skies bright and clear.
Summer birds will be southbound.
Cooler breezes near.
School football we cheer.
The young quarterback is downed.
Parents go berserk,
Call player a jerk
For manhandling their loved son.
The ref's not a shirk,
Is good at his work,
Says no infraction was done.
The "Rhymers" guild; archaic faction,
We garner all the more detraction
Less, are we, in our attraction
More, we are, the poetic infraction
When free is verse, a form accursed-
Murders Art, fetch forth a hearse
For they coerced the Poems reverse,
And left our lines inverse- perverse!
*Title is a play off "It's Hard to be a Diamond in a Rhinestone World"
An inexcusable infraction by neighbor caused her to pout.
She was angry three days later when she let the cat out.
How long can you be mad at me? Neighbor asked with a shout.
She turned to face him, and elevated her prissy angry snout.
He began to laugh, and so did she. The end of this ridiculous pout.
Truthfully, by now, she had forgotten what the infraction was about.
Sacrifice
Sacrificial solitudes traumatically trapped thru out time
Sabotaged souls subservient to the Necronomicon night
A selfless surrender sanctioned with a calamitous climb
Penal punitive pondering of the marauding mind's abyss
A slave seducing deviation from the mantra morals amiss
For infinities infraction the absorption of a stigmatic smite.

I dip the tip of quill
deep in my hearts inkpot
and cross my name with blood
out the record I got.
My name will not be found
in the book of passion.
I wish I could erase
my desires madness.
But how forget the past
if remaining sadness
still painful hurts my soul?
Rainbows turn to ashen.
The open gates to dreams
tempting and forbidden
are with repentance closed.
I will keep them hidden,
ask pardon for my flaw,
fighting my dispassion.

Fore the people
Did weep!
And the people
Did pray....
And for the sake
Of GOD
Their was no delay
------
He has done it again'
On the Third Day
------
And once again
He had carried the day'
One less day of frustration
Another day for Restoration
And thus....
With-out infraction
His Will was done
That man was born
With-out distraction
In His own image....

I was startled, amazed, astonished, in shock.
At the defiant little girl, door refused to unlock.
It was her eighteenth infraction, a serious offense.
Her mother was called four times, things were a bit tense.
Her mother arrived, with excuses galore.
Little girl hit her mother eight times as she was dragged out the door.
She’s a darling! Her mother was yelling and shrieking.
What has happened to her? No telling, I thought, without window peeking.
Rebellion and riverbeds start to dance
with a rush flowing, slowing, then stalling.
Both try perilously to gain traction,
the current is treacherous take a stance.
It may appear that you’re barely crawling,
and then brute force takes over a fraction.
At times the first step is all you can do
but it’s enough to get something going.
Often a change can stem from infraction,
that desire to disrupt springs a call to
action.
