There Must Be Something In the Water
Miniscule beings of enlightenment
float across the infinitum
supercharged in the night
looking for their new homes
as they roam all alone
no-one knows how they feel
in their minds of matter...

Beyond the Hate
children
cry in volumes
unknown tombs
scattered
battered
silent lips
ad infinitum
whispers
heard slow
on the wind
tears in
dry rivers
stumble
beyond
the hate
welcome symphony
on the other side
of heaven’s
gate
never late...

Eratos Liar
Erato’s Liar

Oh Geez,
Not yet another,
Oh Please,
That song’s been sung ad infinitum ad adnaseum,
Love Poems smother,

ME! With cloying sickly sweet annoying
Toying with
My mind
Please muse,
Send me… You Send Me
A spirit of another kind....

Watch your Latin
Watch your Latin and don't let the cat in
Caesar had some jam for tea,
Pompei aderat.
ille, illa, illud,
but I'll have Yorkshire pud.
amo, amas, amat
Who let in the cat?
hic, haec, hoc
The mouse ran up the clock.
You can add another item
ad infinitum....

In the indigo infinitum of your seamless sky I am like a beguiled bird Serene I remain in the surging storm Within your fervent fold You won’t let it wriggle my whispering wings In the yonder firmament of your yearning I will forever fly. November 12, 2022

Why Keep Gloves In the Car
Gauge in the car reads 32, followed by 'ice',
then 32, then 'ice' again, ad infinitum,
as if you weren't already iced, already.
Geese in our lake celebrate, honking
is their holler, and not in their wake,
I turn up my collar, but O Ye Heavens--
Where are my gloves? And this,
my complaint to the powers above:
Sunny Florida? How quaint!......

Premium Member Prickly Me In a Pickle
At my friend’s house over dinner
I emptied a pickle jar
My fickle buds relished infinitum
The tickle of sweet and sour
Didn’t suspect had a base of rum.

Soon the full moon appeared sickle
From forehead sweat dripped in trickle
It was fruitless to stickle
For beyond doubt I was pickled
I found prickly me in a pickle.

A bird, I fly in the azure infinitum of your seamless sky,
when the clouds carry the storm, so assured I remain,
you won’t let it wriggle my whispering wings, I won’t cry,
for in your heart's fervent firmament I will soar again.

Breathe
I don’t want to sleep or eat,
check the mail or pay the bills, answer the phone,
clean the bathroom . . .

           Participate.

. . . all those unremarkable demands of everyday life.

Do you ever wish you
could sleep ad infinitum and
not have to think?

Do you ever want to expend
that interminable energy endlessly until there is no more?...

Now As Before
Are those dimensional theories a trap
for what your mind will never understand

Does your spirit lay dormant and fallow
an alien within its own land

Does the math and the science betray you
with the numbers piled outside your door

Is the time sliced and diced infinitum
  —deliverance calling now as before

Food Shopping
When you go shopping, do you browse
And stroll up all the aisles,
Searching for surprising “Wows!”
That might elicit smiles?

Or do you clutch your list in hand
And check off every item
That’s always purchased as you planned
Each time, ad infinitum?

No matter how you shop, at least
When you’re back home, unpacking,
You’ll know that chances have increased
For some impromptu snacking....

Premium Member Tomorrow As Today
What if you were the only one that believed in something;
And the world as mad gunk has you sliding into unintended traverses.
You find love before it has begun!
This solarized released, this rippling and broadening gulf...
The wings of cautious believers rise only slowly...
Tomorrow is another day,
Yes, though you have discovered
Tomorrow as today,
In the rich infinitum
Of love's fresh boast....

Ode To Oliviera
As my eyes insinuate your unrivaled beauty
A tinge of glow ignites inside of me
I hanker to melt into your embrace
Your visage is the apotheosis of a masterpiece
Cleopatra is nothing compared to you
Your dulcet and riveting voice
Will surely blush a nightingale
Mere thought of you makes my heart leap
It tugs my heartstrings knowing that
Heaven lost an angel to me
Your beauty is timeless-timeless ad infinitum...

My Symbolic House
my symbolic house
my purple castle
invaded by red clowns
a dialogue
contradicting personal icons
denying synthesis
denying art
trespassing
poaching
unbalancing decentring crucifiers
tearing the paper they make of my mind
tearing tissue
cells sinew flesh blood
a pavlov’s laboratory
for a crowd
appropriation
depersonalisation
obliteration
constructs and betrayals ad infinitum
a teleological structuralism
for others

‘...Roots That Clutch...'
You know I do not hope
any intermission,
between life and death.
My path goes nowhere.

A hiatus between the mirrors has questions.
From childhood I was always
floating between the meanings
of lessons unknown.
I longed for straight humilities.

Present redeems the past.
Each sound leaves an echo
and has-been becomes the shrine of peace.

ad infinitum I will wait
for the primitive blood
to reappear, the truth of
midnight sin.

Threading a Needle
Oh, it’s hard to thread a needle!
You must coax and beg and wheedle
Though, of course, it will ignore your fervent pleas;
For the eye’s so very teeny
That your temper might get spleeny
As the thread gets close, but just enough to tease.

So you try ad infinitum –
Thread and needle – to unite ‘em
As your patience, like the thread, begins to fray
And you realize that your sewing
Is like life, the way it’s going,
Tossing challenges to stump you every day....

Entropy
A dignified statesman,
A deified ‘Godman,’
A glorified star (of films or sports)
All tumble—
After a Starr report
Or an HIV test
Or a dope test.
Or maybe a Watergate
Or a Coalgate.
Media reports or media hype?
Whistle blowers
On whistle blowers—ad infinitum.
God and my God are antithetical?
Is rape the norm—
Where Rama and Sita are worshipped?
Whatever your belief,
Call it Postmodern Era
Or Kali Yuga
Or what you will,
Will entropy be the norm?

Premium Member Ignorance, No Bounds
The only thing
More frustrating than
Ignorant people,

And their rush to prove
Themselves as
Such by their own words

And actions, is
The fact that, despite your
Attempts to help

Clarify it for them, they will
Never, ever see
ThemSELVES that way ...

It makes you strain
To imagine just what kind
Of people THEY

Consider as ignorant, and
On and on and on ....
Ad infinitum.
