Breathe

I don’t want to sleep or eat,
check the mail or pay the bills, answer the phone,
clean the bathroom . . .

           Participate.

. . . all those unremarkable demands of everyday life.

Do you ever wish you
could sleep ad infinitum and
not have to think?

Do you ever want to expend
that interminable energy endlessly until there is no more?
