Lovers lips promise despair
The needle-
Full of poison,
Houses acid daydreams
Choices are made
This is a celluloid end.
Laziness is good.
It made monkey,
to grow long tail.
Now it eats free things,
lives in free houses,
up in free tree tops.
downpours in midsummer
lavish houses with creek view
a flooded slum

the good old days
blacks lining up for restrooms
always in back
buses, trains, movie houses--all
but please spend your money here
blue clear cloudless sky
It is humid and hot sans breeze
Rich shelter a/c houses Poor sweat suffer
O' you ancient towers and spires
erected over houses of liars
you will surely fall as says fate
change your ways before it's too late
It’s Jack Frost . . .
The land around is snow embossed.
For warmth, spouses
Cling to each other in closed houses.
3rd place
The body houses the soul
that is its primary role
But with all of the body's demands
the poor soul is an also-ran
long drive home I pass all houses
now lit from within
most huge houses with gates and horses
and the circular drive way that does them in
You got thirty-five minutes to cry
As this bus rides by houses you see.
You got thirty-five minutes to dry
Your eyes, as you silently cry…
Blazing as sunset,
they grope as houses on dense-leafed cliffs
reflecting their image
in the motionless lake...
shouldn't they welcome Winter?
the beach is public
but the beach house is private
when the sea erodes,
which is saved; you can't save both
saving houses erodes the beach
both small
hide behind the wall
love the water fall
they in the houses
cat chase the mouse
its like that
its all about
the
RAT AND THE CAT
Time has passed to quick
Weeds do grow where flowers were
Nourished by nature
Abandoned houses falling in ruins
Behind rusty overgrown fences
Riding a local train
through the Bangladeshi scorching heat
an old man told me
how his houses were submerged
into the Bay of Bengal at night.
Neighbor's gossip carried like stones in the wind.
Glass houses shatter.

Boom! was all we heard
houses sunk into the earth
the foul smell of death
Another heavy blow
upon the Caribbean home
earthquake took it's toll
The flood waters lapped all around
Leaving not very much dry ground
So we all rowed home
And got The Road Home
Raising our houses up off the ground
showery blue air
A big, menacing house flaps
old chicken shadow
covers landscape dawn
rooster stocks crowing out loud
cock-a-doodle-doo

People in glass houses
Shouldn’t throw stones
Fighting feuding spouses
Make unhappy home
Rocky words heavy with hate
Sinking souls as hearts break
Doors kept wide opened
Why do you fear of thieves?
All thieves in arrest
In their own,small houses
Don’t fear of thieves!
But Coronavirus!
Seven rivers,
ten miles more,
I walk on,
I walk on.
Seven hills
five miles more,
I walk on,
I walk on.
Seven houses,
one mile more,
I am home,
I am home.
Fire, birds and trees
are dancing the wind rhythm
Mother earth breathing!
Tree falls kills a man
Other between two houses
Mother earth breathing!
Trees dark gray in shade
Clouds a mix of loud orange and morning pink
Time without noise of a parade
Beyond the houses about peeks the sun with a wink
good friends running scared
chased in the night by their dreams
have the same nightmare
good friends in separate houses
chased by monsters in their dreams
