For what do inits D.T. stand?
It's not what would please Ayn Rand
Her famous novel
Shows those who grovel
Are rather unfit for command

Premium Member Strange Melodies

If they asked me I could write a novel Bout the way you snivel and grovel How your snot hangs down On your evening gown As melodies emanate from your schnozzle

we confidently march along
until something unexpected happens
an event out of our control
then we begin to grovel and beg
wishing and praying for patience
in Gods’ waiting room

Grovel Groan To the Bone

Ahab puppy loved him some evil Jezebel
Lassie boy collar eyes wag the fancy tale
He sleep on her good side,
sob say the cuckold bride
Groomed so wail to fetch her bones in hell

Ghastly Grave Gathering

Ghastly Grave Gathering

Gran and grandpa are gone
Giving grandchildren gifts
Generations greedy
Guilty, grabbing for gain
Granted gratis gold goods
Girls grovel gracelessly
Gluttonous grandkids grief

Premium Member Tell No Fortune

Chance favours, chance taunts,
Now is one man’s hour to rise,
But ten men’s dreams it haunts,
Its humor none can surmise.

Heed not the next irony of fate,
Till you and final verdict meet.
I’d sooner wake to destiny late,
Than grovel at Fortune’s feet.

Premium Member Vanity

You are vanity
No one can compare to you
Men grovel and sway
Women want to be like you
Sad, the mirror is one way

If it were two way
you might know how you are seen
from the other side
Yours shows not your inner self
that your outer mask does hide
Form: Verse

Sorry To Bother You

First world culture, Fourth Generation Rights
Travel and you must adjust: to avoid fights
And delays in "customer care," we declare:
"Sorry to bother you; I need my wages." Beware:
The first world mentality: "Do not grovel." We all do -
Some are commonplace, others disguise as culture

Premium Member Meeting Captain Bee

Captain Bee of the Ship McKee had a reputation all over the Seventh Seas
A pirate narcissist, who made people grovel down to their knees
He had cold steely blue eyes, and he was fearsome to the point of absurd.
I was fearful of this pirate, until I realized that Captain Bee is a canary bird.

Premium Member Life Lived

Shake out the trembles that restrain you
Walk upright in a downward glanced world

Shake the hand that refuses you

Smile at the demons that control you
Relive the moments that embarrass you

Grovel in the sand that grates you
Reach out to enemies that flog you

Live

Premium Member Apparently I had Annoyed Her

Apparently, I had annoyed her
I wanted to pretend I did not know how
Wishing I had kept my concerns to myself
I had been lamenting her choices all afternoon
With cousins and relatives, I barely trust

Now I remember why I do not attend reunions
Her eyes gave me a look that could burn rubber
Was it too late to grovel?
I began to try

Timeless Truth

I
From ever Time had us surrounded
-or how the Law has to be followed?-
Though since once acting were we free
To keep our haze, to not or be.

II
To earthly being nothin’ is mere more
Than everything surmise as novel:
For being nothin’ grimer sore,
Hallowing heaven, yet to grovel .

And what is hard comparing
To answer this ironic faring?

Premium Member Vaccine Game In Kansas

Vaccine game we are not winning
The COVID-19 vaccines
A mess in kansas

I follow all leads
Begging groveling pleading
No roads lead to shots

Hours on the phone
Waiting lists of twelve hundred
I reluctantly give up

God has His own plan
I grovel big one more time
Got vaccine today

Perpetually learn
Let go let God again
Relearn it always

Vision of the Fall

Visions of Usher,
Seven rooms with which flesh dwells
As reddened as a

Retro rocket ship.
Party to end all parting,
Macabre essence

Is all prevailing.
The mayhem of ring-a-rose
Maddened stares. I sit

Alone in green sin
When Death travels amongst us,
All that can be done

Is find the culprit
And grovel to the void face
Of my own doing.

Make Me Happy

Please tell me now, my dear, my love, what occupies your mind?
Are you truly happy now or is there sadness yet to find?

I do my best to make you smile and hope you’ll feel complete.
So, tell me now, my darling one, as I wait now at your feet.

I will not beg, nor ever grovel, but happily serve you well.
So, are you happy, lovely one? Please tell me now, do tell.

Premium Member Fun-Diseased World

Avenged adult world
Fishy funny kids’ play world
The saturnine feast.

Sorcerous* Nox night
Lone places yawn hell pervades
global fun-disease

Ghosts grovel and then wolves weep
Goblins grin skeletons sway
Thus the streets savaged

Premium Member How to 'Bring Them Home'

A most pathetic sight to see
     Negotiators grovel at Sinwar’s knee

A speedy way to set hostages free
~ Put Yahya out of his misery

I Search Raven Skies

Adrift in your eyes
     The night is deep
I search raven skies
     I cannot speak

What is this embrace
     Held to your darkness
I touch your face
     I feel the starkness

The powers that be
     This mysterious night
Have come unto me
     Your rule they indict

I am left to grovel
     Desire unyielding
A lecherous hovel
     A whim to your wielding

Premium Member She Was the Power of the Throne

She listened to him grovel,
realizing he deserved no mercy
she recognized him from another time
the court was watching
so she pretended to be considering his plea
all the time plotting a slow unnatural painful death
for this conniver, fraud, and freakish abuser of women
Glad to be the power of the throne now,
holding herself back from instantly cutting off his head
for she wanted him to have a very slow demise.

Premium Member Sorry

SORRY
(ETCETERA ETCETERA)

In my world a word of genuine emotion,
today in this battlefield for far right,
far left and all those in between,
a word reconstructed,
for those wrong doers caught,
and only when they are,
a buzz word for a last chance grovel,
for a population conditioned to except the insincerity
and false tears that evaporate as quickly,
as one’s memory of their misdemeanour.

Premium Member The Secret Dragon

The early people hurt me,
So I'm very bitter...
As I sit upon my stolen jewels;
Than resemble shiny litter!

My anger has me terrorizing'
Countries of various hues.
Complimented by my distinguished
Set of scales of sky-blown blue!

I'm not like the other dragons,
As I don't seek for glory or fame.
I travel very quietly,
With a secret name.

To truly know me, no need to grovel,
Just go to the store and buy my novel!

An Illusion

Masquerading as a Prince
Someone is playing a game of pretend or deceiving themselves
If you saw what I saw you would be humble
Bite your tongue, and grovel for you are dirt at my feet.

Your boastful brags intrigue me
What makes the toad demand things of others?
She wonders to her herself
Why she entertains his commands

No beauty on the inside or out
No winner here
No heart of gold
Just a space full of emptiness in this cold, cold room.

Virus World

Wipe each surface, wear a mask;
Wash and scrub your hands.
Each person understands.

Don’t touch money or your face;
Stay away from crowds.
If you’re quarantined, pretend
Your ceiling’s sky and clouds.

Cancel all your travel plans;
Stock up on your food.
Find some entertainment
To keep busy all your brood.

Welcome to our Virus World
Where COVID-19 rules
And humans bow and grovel
To the reign of molecules.

Faithless Justice

Faithless mallet
O' governing gavel
See me upon my knees
Prepared to grovel

For it was peace I sought
But chaos I wrought
In a fit of rage
I burned the page

Faithless mallet
O' governing gavel
How I've done it now
The world now weeps
But my end it will know

For salvation I need
For it I shall surely bleed
I shunned my faith
Now I face the wraith

Faithless mallet
O' governing gavel
I believe not in you
Nor this faithless justice
