Elevator, escalator, or stairs
Gramma couldn't decide
Gramps said, Hop on my back
Pretty ladies ought to take fliers
Light work?
Give to granddad
The bits drawer will help him
Tape, screws, raw plugs, string, pins and bits
If no cure, use black tape
Strap it down hard
All done!
I design myself a turban of exotic fruit
To wear with my fabulous orange holiday suit
I wish I could find my other paisley green boot
To visit Gramps, an old colorful coot.
surrenderer ungrudgingly humbling she reposition actualization again as her gramps essentially irresponsibly whacker of sail deciding my normandy

Cats are lounging, small puppy's gruff
One hen a strutting just doing its stuff
Sunny afternoon, we can’t get enough
Gramps, then snorts some of his snuff
One loud sneeze; the hen’s in the buff
Grandpa's miniature toy boat
I borrowed the vintage to float
Down the slope full of rain
Oops gone down a storm drain
Lucky Gramps didn't go for my throat

Ancient arts so intriguing
hieroglyphs, cave drawings
Stone flints at end of spears
two combined, a pair of shears
Primitive though, their communication
the imperiled art of ~ conversation
Grandma said she would take care of the kids now
I knew things were tight, gramps had run off with the cow
and a woman, but we were sworn to secrecy about that
Grandma took her anger out on us. Now I have to wear a hat
The last words of my gramps were
“A TRUCK!!!... “ I guess he should have taken Uber
There's a lesson to be learned
Should've spent what he earned
He'd be off to Florida for the winter again in the future

Fair's Fair
I taught my kids to teach their kids
be equal, less complication
don't call me Gramps, heaven forbids
that's called age discrimination.

Grandpa’s chair still there
though stables are empty now
ghostly echoes of neighing
still hear Gramps praying
“Please, Lord, let me keep my farm”
blessings bestowed on our clan

When I die I want to go peacefully in my sleep like gramps
Not screaming like his passengers while careening off the on-ramp
Want to wake up in our garage
Enjoying a soothing massage
Administered by the neighbor's sexy teenage tramp

Turkey oh turkey what can I say
Unbelievable tenderness is what we want this day
Relishing each tasty morsel with so much glee
Kindness in the air for everyone and me
Even gramps can’t growl as we bow to pray
Yes dear Lord, thank you for our blessings today
gramps' farm cottage, photogenic,
exudes country quaintness, scenic,
but wait till his grandkids arrive,
bedlam it'll be, a mad hive,
what to us may be anarchic,
for gramps, joyfully chaotic!
hllbilly hoe down
hard piece of straw in each mouth
bibbed overall dance
banjos and fiddles
potluck of fancy desserts
arkansas ham hocks
hound dogs on the porch
homemade corn liquor from gramps
square dancing parents
loud bluegrass music
pink taffy pull for the kids
toothless grandmothers
I miss you both so much
On this Christmas Eve
My Nanny and my Gramps
Why did you have to leave?
As we celebrate this day
In your house like years past
We may no longer see you
But your spirits will always last
Our family is strong
Because of your love
Merry Christmas in heaven
To my two angels up above
ink-stained shirt pockets
full of old pens that don't write
grandpa taught me right
worn-out wallet bent
to the contours of his hip
sore with a disc slip
gramps is soldier's son
who's mighty scared of the gun
none else makes him run
but thanks to foot spa
restores a lot of chutzpah
shy toes of grandpa
Gramps' backyard teems with spiced herbs,
Peaches for offspring's dining,
With youngsters piping chorales.
A garden fount stands blithely
Misting potent soil of lawn-
Where lights bathe nature's display
To honor Gram's memory.

There once was a lady named "Mom"
Who had a hard time keeping calm.
But she knows how to sew
And garden and mow
And she's a farmer on facebook.com
She's a grandma to Mel and Harmony
She's a young wife for "Gramps" who's 70!
She calms the waters
Of her four lovely daughters
And best of all she puts up with me.
'look what i found ma'...
"now thet there was yer gran pa's
fav'rit grave marker...
...don't go lose'n it"
'yuh mean gran pa made tombstones'
"no son...thet was his...
...so where'd'ya find it"
'top of the septic tank ma'
"and how'd it git there"
'tommy did it ma'
"did whut...just who is tommy...
...gawd no...where's dad's jar"

I used to get gifts
tons of toys for the Yuletide
from mom, dad, gran, gramps, uncles, aunts and friends.
But many years passed
and gifts disappeared to none
gifts were zero as family passed on.
I recall true love-
my husband gave me the best
now he is gone . . . another name engraved.
< once was an cuckoo bird named Sonny
tagging along gramps as first gunny
shooting up cereal bowls
with dark puffs @@@ nice ~ and ~ slow
Oh how trix rabbit did so runny

On your own child, all alone child, don't be scared,
no one cared.
Sad boy, very bad boy, drink some liquor,
grow up quicker.
Teen kid, you're a mean kid, take his money,
you'll find it funny.
Weird man, you'll be feared man, take that knife,
end his life.
Ill gramps, take your pill gramps, in your cell,
a living hell.
Dead now, in your bed now, no one came,
you're to blame.
the kid looked curiously at grandpa ~ who was struggling down the stairs
he turned to the kid saying ~ one day you’ll be just like me so don’t stare
kid said i might be lucky and die young ~ besides since when do you care
mum was aghast chiding the kid ~ say your sorry that comment’s not fair
i’m sorry gramps ~ but dad said we must come round to inherit our share
