Leaves that move along
As the limbs drift gracefully
Softly they glide by
In the breeze of the autumn
Pleasantly cool time of year

A moody spring breeze
playing in the brown cattails;
heat waves dancing on water.
Dragonfly hovers
watching a turtle glide by;
a water snake’s making waves.

days pass
times past,
glide by,
so slow
is life in the
shadow:
lyrical times
long forgotten
absences no
more remembered:
a blank future
lies ahead,
an empty wasteland
of cold years

Time
Our stint
Together
Seems to glide by
Two days feels like hours
Those moments I cling to
Memories, like air we breathe
Till we are no longer apart
Mutual love and trust our measure
Intertwined no longer you and me, us…

Within the stillness one can hear etudes
from the birds that evoke a morning rise,
tranquil are the streams that glide by
ferns quiver from the touching breezes
quietness elicits and stirs full vibes
which infers that nature is truly a place for solace.

The male weaver bird is inspired to make a beautiful nest
Female weavers choose their mate based on whose nest is the best
nests are intricate and fine, delicately and artistically made by this guy
excited male hangs it in the sun to dry, waiting for his lovely to glide by.

here they come again
windblown fugitives of gold
dancing with flowers
sun's shadow dancers
green fluttering leaves darkly
silhouette party
purple birds glide by
dusky beats upon the ground
trembling, shade fruit vines
in a dance to night
movement in grassy marshes'
dynasty of days

You watch the river pass you by
Wishing that small sail boat would glide by
Remembering fun filled days you spent foating by
Carefree sailing as your days of youth slip by
a single rose is launched today , one last sweet goodbye .
pretty sure nothing like but had a go lol

I walk barefoot on the beach
Where the water greets the land.
Waves with their wet fingers reach,
Then retreat from where I stand.
White foam fizzles on the sand.
I pick up some rocks and shells,
Watch the shorebirds dive and fly
As the ocean ebbs and swells,
Plovers skitter, seagulls cry,
Soundless pelicans glide by.

A multi-colored lover’s kite-
the type that tickles souls of light,
soaring high, up into the sky
imitating birds that glide by
with unconcerned wind. Oh, kite, fly
fly and fly and watch pink smiles lie
on earth, with scent of chamomile
pampering, childishly, the sigh-
of glade’s noonday erotic rite,
so perfect, for my lover’s sight!

COOL BLUE DESTINY
a cool blue crystal daybreak as
moon departs shimmering stars
on the sea
in silhouette they stand alone
warm from inside out they swig
down brandy
seagulls cry their morning pleas
gather swiftly orbiting boat
drifting free
fishing rods wait hooked with bait
as glistening scales glide by
decoys plea
oceans bounty captured as
frantic wide eyed last breaths meet
destiny

Irony of Life
In the quest for more, desires take flight,
A luxury car owner envies the jet's height.
The motorbike rider dreams of the car's gleam,
While the cyclist longs for the engine's scream.
The one on foot watches the bike glide by,
Yearning for wheels, a chance to fly.
And the one with legs, in silent plea,
Envies the walker, wishes to be free.
From planes to feet, desires interlace,
In the irony of life, we all chase but nothing.

Oh Lake O
Water surrounds
Birds chirp
River flows out to the lake
Steady
High
Trunks of trees under water
Top of trees like cauliflower
Ebb
Flow
Sailboats don’t notice
But the old lighthouse almost kisses the blue water
Clouds look down on the blue
Wide like the ocean
Harbouring life
North American border born of past glaciers
Flocks of birds glide by
Swans dive, devouring the rich bounty
The air is peaceful
The feeling is divine
I call it home...

I do not know?
Standing by a tree, rifle on hip
Leaves red and yellow like a Viking ship
Watching from the shadows, a poachers eye
Silently waiting as phantoms glide by
A noise, just a bird on the forest floor
Preening and dancing like Madame Pompadour.
Footsteps follow a distant call
Crouching like a woodlouse in a steel backed ball
Face in the dirt, a mouthful of leaves
Hiding in the gloom, nobody sees
Silence, nothing but another ghost
With the stealth of a tiger, moves back to his post.
