Harmonious Welcome

aqueduct bridge and path spies
an old stone church in the clouds
with her forested steeple

Music In the Mountains

Music in the mountains,
Tune of trees, a rustling fife.

Raindrops falling into streams,
Purity of nature sustaining life.

Music in the mountains,
Symphony of echoing instruments.

Water in the forested fountains,
Sound of nature bonding elements.

This Forested Space

Cleared of all voices
This forested space.
Left with one's thoughts, and the peace
Of a holy place.

Each, a plume weighing.
And lightened, doubly
Through what, for the living God
Who's heart, solace grants
Is felt, blows and flows, enchants.
Not inappreciably!

Sitatunga - An Acrostic

Small, striped sensuous in form
In strength mighty
Tenacious in the cooling mud.
An antelope breed, Sitatunga named
Treading water with the surfing hippo
Under a canopy of okoume trees.
Needing home always to be in
Gabon's forested world but
Already, the chain saws arrive.

Skating

SKATING

I pull on my hat
The lake top stretches flat
To the far shore
Knife edge smooth and more

Leaning with the breeze
And aiming at distant trees
My skates bite the ice
Cutting straight and twice

Wind in ears and the chill
Make it seem I never will
Reach that frosted forested place
No matter how fast I race

The Sasquatch Watch

There's a beast roaming around,
This forested mountain ground,
You can hear him at night
It does bring on a fright...
Oh, maybe it's only a grizzly bear!!
A grizzly, don't you share....
Respected fear of this mighty beast?
Concern at the very least.....
But I don't really care,
Just what it is out there...
Let him smash through my door!!
Cause I don't care no more!

Shady Jedi Mind Tricks

Wherefrom poetry shades recall,
and the other side of yesterday
is but a dreamt hallucination,
can't see the foliage from trees'
darkly forested boundaries,
insofar as frivolous moonbeams
agitate sun's glorified imagism
'midst hues of baubled madness
& vaporous sentiments are replete
within day-trippers' remote motives,
shadowing delusional chicanery
of rosé-tinted Jedi mind tricks

At Home, Resting After a Sweet Morning Trek

At Home, Resting After A Sweet Morning Trek

Cool and sweet
Laced with gentle streams
The treasure of forested hills
Forest sighs, and afternoon delight
'neath welcoming sky.

Souls they touch
Hearts they enthrall
Day or night
Embrace this spirit
Soothe with that colorful treasure
O giant that awaits the dawn
Welcome this eager friend.

The Woodland Goddess

The Woodland Goddess

Thy mystic news from out the Invisible
Would save all men, were they but content to dwell
In lowly station, proud to share the power
That shapes the world in secret, hour by hour.

Her rosy fingers touched the ancient words
And lo! they quivered with the ecstasy
Of crimson bloom, sun-glances, caroling birds,
On forested green island waking into glee.

The Life That Was

The Life I can't get back
Is always retreating
And it's forested walls
They're always impeding

My charts are always clouded
My stars are always fogged
By maps that are always shrouded
By routes that're always Clogged

Into the neverending
I embrace the unknown
With passion unending
Into the never shown

That I walk with no purpose
I walk with no aplombe
I walk with no sense of urgence
Once more to the unknown

Places I'Ve Peed Haiku Series

1
Sun glints off ripples
Play of light in sheltered cove
Scenic lavatory

2
Backyard full of stars
Footsteps crack on frozen grass
Moonlit lavatory

3
Forested mountain side
Above twisting single track
Rider’s lavatory

4
Over arid land
Falling rain evaporates
Hot Aussie dunny

5
Sandy beach stretches
Tropical coral waters
Pristine lavatory

6
Beneath St. Paul’s dome
Lies manicured garden
Monumental lav.

Under All The Green Becoming's

This wooded throng of ancient trees, this green palisade of arboreal memories bid me dream with them, as I pass among there overarching spreads. If a mindful muse, were imagined, under a green canopy such as these, from my thoughts, all manner of myths and legends would flourish, and none would seem unreal, but just the natural outgrowth of a wisdom that these green and forested giants impart to the roots of being.

Holy Grail

Holy grail so frail.
Seaside pail, water so pale.
Isolated trail, forested veil.

Wind wails, ever moving gales.
Crossing rails, breathe and inhale.
Below, a snail and its tail.

Holy grail so stale.
Seaside pail, nearby, a whale.
Faraway sail, call to no avail.

Homeless male, sorrowful tale.
Worried female, no mail.
Losing of bail, soon no longer prevail.

Holy grail so frail.
Precious water so pale.
Solitary trail, tragic tale.

Infant Baptism

It's a dirty world,
and the longer you live,
the dirtier you get.
(Paraphrase of Stephen King, Blaze)

It's a violent Earth,
and the longer we live,
the more automated violence we beget.

We're a suffering EarthTribe
and the longer we live
naturally and spiritually disassociated,
the more painfully Earth degenerates.

It was a forested world
with wealthy oceans,
and the longer we potentially lived,
the more healthy reforested Earth would get.

Take Time To Read

Human life is so hectic
Very little time to live
Much less try anything new
But there is something you can do
Open a book and start reading
It doesn’t matter what kind
You can read as you listen to music
As you sit in a forested park
Or spend your time in the bath
Where you do it doesn’t matter
Just enjoy the words in front of you
And let them take you wherever
Life will be waiting when you get back
I promise you that

Forested Trail

You see a path, a forested trail-
The ground of which, to you seemed stale-

Covered by trees, dead by cold-
Footsteps made, now are old-

To thee it seems a dreary way-
To me it seems as light as day-

To know the secrets wherein are hidden-
Safety, shelter I will be ridden-

To find my path, not alone to take-
Your love of me, then shall not fake-

Since if it happens, my soul alone-
Until another path I’m shown-

I found my path, not alone to take-
For your love of me, you did not fake-
