At Home, Resting After a Sweet Morning Trek

At Home, Resting After A Sweet Morning Trek

Cool and sweet
Laced with gentle streams
The treasure of forested hills
Forest sighs, and afternoon delight
'neath welcoming sky.

Souls they touch
Hearts they enthrall
Day or night
Embrace this spirit
Soothe with that colorful treasure
O giant that awaits the dawn
Welcome this eager friend.

'Tis the simple things that spin the heart ... and rest the spirit! Lovely write, Roberto - I needed this!

Thank you my friend. A positive poem from 48 years ago. Back when my proclivity to seek the deep forest for its many treasures, its beauty, its solitude- and its blessed relief was at its apex. And the blessing was that it never failed me. I being a wild mustang back then -managed to run into all kinds of troubles, woes, and conflicting scenarios. This poem represents one of those times immense relief came....God bless...

Thank you my friend. I was 19 years old and saw this world so very differently back then. God bless..
