Nordic Xmas Eve

Each window, with magic lit
Of whose fable-hung
Clear forested air
Reflects what is, at whose hour
Believably fair.

A snowing, and what like-chilled
For sorrow's impact
The whole year through
Delights but then; but then melts
Its heart-numbed fallout.
