Blood Trail

Innocence a foreigner
if beautiful or dark
No one who can lead the way
— has purity of heart

Little Jackie Foreigner

     Little Jackie Foreigner
     Was not born here
     Now he’s in Queens, a New Yorker…

     He says, ‘Vote for Mamdani
     He’s sure to protect me
~ though I’m not a progressive like he’

Kyoto Subway Station

Morning, 8 AM.
Kyoto Subway Station.
A single gaijin,
a foreigner surrounded
yet standing out in the crowd.

The train clips along,
slows down, stops, starts up again
repetitively.
Whilst humanity surrounds,
one can still feel so alone.

Alone in a Crowd

Morning, big city location,
a Japanese subway station...
a single gaijin (foreigner)
all by himself, in a corner,
and yet surrounded on all sides...
the wave of humanity rides...
People stare, with mute undertones.
No wonder he feels so alone.

Overcome

You are the dragon
I am the warrior
You are the government
I am the foreigner

You are the evil
I am the good
You are the wolf
I am Red Riding Hood

If you think you can hurt me
You must be dumb
You must never have heard
Of the countless bullies I've overcome

a Stranger and Foreigner

What he bore for me
was at a price of what cost?
This stranger an foreigner
he died at Calvary.

This stranger to make me his friend,
a foreigner that shared his home.
At a great cost his life he paid.
Great Stranger, I worship and fall at your feet.
No longer estranged nor will I roam from thee.

Until Last Night

Until last night I had never been alone,
  never bereft of sleep

Until last night I had never been afraid,
  never afraid to dream

Until last night my thoughts were in stone,
  indecision a foreigner sure

Until last night my will had been staid,
my conscience both steadfast and pure

 —until last night

I Love You Even More

Look into my eyes and you will find
No file of doubt about you
I must acknowledge your charisma
Many are yearning for your love
I must admit all men eyes like you
They have even eyes of a foreigner
I just ignore their taunting
My heart is easy to treat
I have riches to give you affluence
Just look at me with love
And I will love you even more
I will even give you my life.

Once When

Once when
I lived in the deep countryside
Of Algarve come spring
And knew of every tiny village
When seeing me, the dwellers waved
The strange foreigner is here
It will be summer after all.
I had many friends back then and drank
Coffee with sturdy farmhands.
I will not be there this year, will they miss me?
Perhaps at dusk, someone will say
They saw me riding by and take it as
A good omen

Seafaring Foreigner

Seafaring Foreigner

In steerage on a steamer with
Figs conceiving in Vesuvian soil
Hidden in a pot of a sturdy trunk
Made of hope and adventure. Fear of
Sights unseen and joys unbeknownst
Of sons and daughters yet.

Hazy canyons of skyscraping giants
Overshadow brick row houses
Hard at work, ethnic pride
Shameful bathing, worn-in
Clothing and nourishment
Beyond the return to
Much worse.

The Wanderer

An adventurer of sorts,
Moving here and there, and yet
Nowhere, I find everything everywhere.

Sometimes liked, sometimes disliked,
But most times,
Just misunderstood...

While speaking in a similar language,
Still more a foreigner than a commoner ;
only because the subject is foreign
Not the language itself....

What is the commonwealth
If wealth can be so uncommon,
As only titillating in a dream....

Foreigner

Let me sing a foreign song
To the hears of my foreign friend
Let me dance with foreign moves
To the beat of my foreign art

She said she believed a foreign friend
That came far from a foreign land
She speaks calm to the foreign quest
And two foreigners look like a regular

Sing to me and hear a foreign melody
Save me from been a toreador
Fighting for love in a strange land
Call me my name and sing my pedigree

Fullness of Healing

Ten lepers approached, keeping their distance.
“Jesus have mercy!” They called for assistance.
“To the priests you must go
     and yourselves to them show.”
Just one who was cleansed returned to give thanks

to Jesus in gratitude for healing.
While praising aloud as he was kneeling
     at the Saviour's feet
     his joy was complete.
Just this foreigner found fullness of healing.

Saute

Saute(jump)

Foreigner a tomorrow
packed suitcase for dream
smile digging sand runs free

Heart beside lover lie
hand in hand
rubbed and relaxed by wave

Sun nips at shade
Shade brushes sun
lovers games frisky fun

In each other disappear
Fear demands Memory
Shame looms impatient

Beach points elated
Moon buried him beyond
where Sea touches Sky

....... and my, my, my, my, my

How that ship did sail!

Renewal of Rules

God blessed his jewels
The one who raised
Their love we praise
Foreigner within
Ours hearts shall win
Rules of justice
God humble apprentice
Knowing shall yield
We may bless our fields
We shall never forget
Those important steps
Kindness exhumed
It filled the room
Struck me to the ground
With world spinning round
Touched by the Holy Spirit
God love I did feel it
Speaking proclaimed
They show known thee by name

A Foreigner

It is a pity how people
Treat me down here
They say I am a sojourner
This is not my home

I laugh though in pity
Remembering it is no home
Everyone is a sojourner
Waiting to hence home

Dust to dust home we be
Clay we are too hard to believe
Flesh to bone proud fool -be
Sojourner here home in dust

We are a Potter's works
His breath turned us into flesh
In the end the breath will be claimed
And the clay home where it belongs

O Foreigner

You have stolen my soul O foreigner
I have lost self-control O foreigner

You have given sweet dream O foreigner
My passion turns extreme O foreigner

You are so beautiful O foreigner
You are so warm and cool O foreigner

I am impressed so much O foreigner
I long for your sweet touch O foreigner

I want your yummy kiss O foreigner
You are the one I miss O foreigner

I am waiting for you O foreigner
You are my love’s guru O foreigner

Caged

Confused and alone her a fading light
The blue lip-color painted on her lips disturbed
A goodbye in the mid of night
And her natural beauty so perturbed

The voices in the cold
So silent and profound
waiting for a beam that left old
Her heart alone in the dark left unbound

She stands
A women, a foreigner in her clan
Her stand offends
The women and the man

To dream, to wish, to hope and long
Is the fantasy humanity will always belong.

He Danced With the Whore

He did dance with the whore,
Desiring to lust against the marriage law;
It all began with a drink and then some more:
He should have been mindful, but got other deeds
ignore.
This lady been a foreigner from Baltimore,
Has been around here strictly on tour;
The Priest hid his frame, and sipped all that he had
pour,
In his clout, forgetting his family lore;
Did taste that honeycomb, but did feel a sour;
For his religion, he has seemed a flaw.

Water

Where there's water, there's life
Truth that never debated
Water is one source of history
Of life, commerce and interaction
Water may form as river, seaport, oasis or lake
It's where the first contact of communication
It's where the first interaction happen
It's where the people make a living
It's where the exchanges of goods dealt
It's where the foreigner first do business
It's where the great leader first assembly
It's where the society first began.

Paulette

Swollen form, forms her shame
Nourished within, without a name
Motherhood looms for a foreigner
Gift gaping space maintains honour

Kicked by her blister, bond forbidden
Future virtue relies on her blight hidden
Cavernous days stagnate poor Paulette
Infatuation's strike smokes in tepid forget

Needing hands seize with Winter bareness
Snapped family sways pink bud awareness
