Silver and Gold

Lollipops and lemon drops
  loll lazy on the tongue

From ten silver fillings ~
  gold 'new words' are sprung

Siomai

Wrapped in dough like small flowers
Cuisine from the past
Filled fillings from all seasons
Stood the test of time
Sideline dish with tea
Ready for
Me!

Bridge Work

Extractions are cheaper than fillings
But the dentist went mad with the drillings
So alas and alack
And a bucket of plaque
It cost me two quid; forty shillings!

let us be alone

my mouth salivated upon sight of the delectable cream puff
I could almost taste the frothy sweet fillings and the flaky crusts
let us be alone I told the rest of them picking up a spoon

Metaphors In Life

Life is like a cup of coffee
Sometimes bitter
Add a little sugar
Taste differently.

Life is like a hamburger
Both ends has cover
In between has fillings
For you to decide to eat.

Chilled Chaser

back then, younger summer evenings,

we ate crabs, oysters, shrimp fillings

                    chased and downed, my dear,

                              with Mexican beer,

                  shortcomings, but no misgivings !

As I Cry

As I cried a lonely cry ink filled the page,
as I screamed in anger the words calmed my rage,
what it is
  how it is,
    filling fillings through pens,
this is my sound on paper,
     this is me weeping,
these are my tears on paper.

A Tingly Jingle - Contest

How you set my heart a tingle
When I listen to your jingle.
Rub my tongue over my teeth
So smooth and fresh no plaque beneath.
Thank you Colgate I love your taste

My Smile

A good dentist is hard to find
the treatments ok
it's the paying I mind.
The background music
makes me relax,
fillings, extractions
you just have the knack.
I'm glad that I don't need
to come back for a while,
And I'd just like to thank you
for giving back my smile.

Finding Fillings Silver Plated

After finding fillings silver plated,
And many things had anticipated;
While we waited,
Getting educated,
Were excited then highly elated.

Great to read  your great works;
Were pleased by all of the perks;
Poems did grow,
In each long row;
Are tired of Trump and his jerks.

Which Pasta Am I Give It a Try

I'm a fresh pastry made with different fillings
A plate of me will cost you a few shillings
Sometimes made with spinach and ricotta cheese
Topped with tomato sauce and fresh, green peas
It depends, my pockets are sometimes filled with salmon and cream
I am the Mediterranean dream
I am solely
The one and only Ravioli !

Identifying Bodies

Identifying bodies
On a show like C.S.I.,
On scars and beauty marks
Or dental fillings did rely.

Our bodies, every one unique,
Have freckles, dots and lines,
Arranged haphazardly in ways
That DNA designs.

Though nowadays the morgue has
More at hand from which to choose,
For it must be much easier
To track down one’s tattoos.

Teeth Will Let Go

dental day today
a new dentist in the shop
four painless fillings

for old broken teeth
dentures to be refitted
freedom this friday

will be popcorn night
after dinner a movie
relaxation home

age lets go all teeth
evolutions win lose draw
follows close after

and fight flight love hate
that life is grand illusions
meditate let go

Give Me Back My Time

I'm planting myself between reason and stoicism
All the odious black stuff is coming back
like oxide fillings on the factory floor
Some see a new uprising happening soon
Give me back my time
which is laying on the ledge
within an inescapable air hole
digesting all the pain that's here to stay
The harvest of disavowal
by the chagrin lady
except I have listened too far
and the people have spoken

Bad Teeth

I have bad teeth

I have bad teeth
bad behaving teeth
that have tortured me
over the years

making the trip
to the dentist
an annual chore
that I want to avoid

just don’t want
to hear
I need more fillings
another cavity
another tooth gone bad

as my teeth
laugh at me
mocking me
yet again

The Wise Cheese

The Wise Cheese

An old and mature cheese of very great age,

Considered among cheeses to be a sage,

Spoke these wisdoms to the sausages and pies,

“You depend on fillings, not on size.”

Then all the cheeses gathered hands

And danced the foxtrot in the sands.

The pies replied, “Aged cheese, you are wise.”

“They is sausages and we is pies.”

Sweet Gossip

Hearsay and Heresy shared Chocolate Kisses
Succulent sweetness for raising desire
Some say the fillings are hotter than fire
The wrappings of tinselly colors do tell
There’s nuts and there’s raisins and maybe some mints
And a few full of peppercorn poppers as well
Dreaming and Scheming were watching in wait
Hoping to share in the promising tasting
But Envy and Greed were playing with Fate
And Heresy 's chocolate fingers
Or so it’s been rumored and said

Night Falls

Night falls and I'm at ease
soon you'll be my waited dream
on painted wings you'll flitter by
reaching points that catch my eye
enter recesses my very soul
fillings voids in time worn holes
wonders seized in tender touch
caressing calm in natures blush
on silver streaks of amber light
filter hints of gloried sight
upon tepid breezes heading south
graze your lips upon my mouth

Shared thoughts surrender in silken beds
Hearts rejoice in shades of red

As I Hold You.

Holding you in my arms as the sun sets out side,
lovers find a way... love finds meaning,
day after day as husband and wife,
as the sunsets sets these fillings...I can not hide.

the fillings I have for you today,
a son like you a daughter like me,
20 years behind us and so much ahead,
after our first kiss...we have it this way.

with you time I refuse to miss,
to walk and hold your hand,
a kiss...a wink...the little things,
time with you I fill flawless.
