Of Hope Had Broken Pillar
Of Hope Had Broken Pillar

Instead of being a big thriller,
Found film to only be a filler;
We took pause,
Was lost cause;
Of hope had broken the pillar.

Cap'N Crunch, Cereal Filler
When I was single and living alone
Cereal curbed my tummy’s moans
Eating Cap'n Crunch
Breakfast, dinner, and lunch
Was a cooking hookey I honed!

Winner Or Dinner
So Saturday night's just really here
So what's the problem?
Why the fear?
We met online
That's really fine
He sounds so nice
A touch of spice
One needs in life a little filler
Just better hope
He's not a killer....

Emotional Bondage
Most days writing filler,
the Muse to appease

The words poorly chosen,
no ace up my sleeve

Each phrase a fulfillment,
old promises made

With feelings in Limbo
—my pen to enslave

Nshima
The belly filler
The palm feeler
If five fingers are not busy
It is not good

The must-have
Or else you starve
It's the food that gets you tizzy
It will spark your mood

It is called by its name
Partaking of it is no game
If it does not require a whizz
It is not food...

Filler
This is
not a world for me.
I am no
good for it.
First of all,
I can't be young again

and can't
hope. I miss
hoping.
Stand around
in the market
useless in my space

reacting to the
pardon me
of those who seek
what they need.
They are the pleasant ones
who smile in their waiting....

Drinks
Champagne in lovely waterfall,
Fill up your glass with alcohol.

Coffee in my cup with Brandy.
Mighty fine and mighty dandy.

Gin and soda; favorite casino
In L.V., also Mesquite, Reno.

Milk or juice in cup, filler up.
I have beautiful coffee cups.
Used to be Chock Full of Nuts....

Fabric Flowers
Slender yellow petals
Fit perfectly into a fabric bud
All placed neatly on velvet stems
Searching for roots in a grass filler
No sun to reach, they bloom to a white wash ceiling
No scent to inhale, the artificial spritz wore off
Arranged picture perfect
Never to die but to stand behind museum glass
Fake beauty among the immortal...

The Drinks
a lot can be done
deals debates and discussions
at drinks - cup or glass

lips sip the coffee
mood imbibes alcohol
eyes drink beauty

take care of my health
juices and coconut water
I go smarter

water is filler
coffee my thought propeller
alcohol kicks me

milk bottle, cola
whisky then soup and syrup
progression of life

Fascination of Nothing
The writhing yellow flames consuming the void,
Luminescent rays beaming through the window.
Shaking floor as the burning fuel
Propels us through empty space.
The lifeless world, endless but finite,
A curious cluster of dust.
No end in view, no beginning to look back on,
Just the filler in between.
A singularity of space and time,
Sitting alone in the cold....

Premium Member Lazy God
Lazy god,
nibbling cotton candy clouds
guzzling golden grape wine
angels fanning your endless siesta.
With harps and trumpets divine
while this invisible beast
that you fashioned
eats us alive...
Soul creator
galaxy twirler
black hole baker
ocean filler
talking snake maker.
You could wash out this raging fire,
anytime your artisan heart desires...
We're patiently waiting!...

Sowing
He dreams of thin chickens pecking at a dirt floor.
A big brown teapot is stuffed with scraps of poetry;
words waiting to be led out like bawling cattle
into the haze and dust.

As he does every day, he seeks some less worked earth
to plant words into, hopes they will mature into
filler, grout, and spackle to patch up his wormwood.
Mostly they scatter on a dry wind
until night reclaims them....

3 Limericks
Oh my dearest darling Kate
Faced the most awful fate
Ate a peanut
Clogged her big butt
Now larger than Texas State.

I would assume you've heard of Sue
The poor boy doomed to boo hoo
His dad was funny
Till he had no money
crawled back to his son for some stew

Henry was a giant catipillier
He worked at Walmart as a vacuum filler
Always on time
Sucked up by nine
Until he met a snail and tried to steal her...

Miller Far Thriller and Cellar
That's the trouble with her Miller:
Lots of fancy for fine killer,
Yeah not Real Life - The safe thriller
But it's no Decent Time filler,
Millers remembrance of thriller
The time wise neighbour turns tiller
And one they 've got in James Bila,
In the past fond of Godzilla,
Now in their church a strong pillar...

"Oh! Why had I accepted Miller
For thriller and wine from cellar?"
Anna had forgotten his villa
Marrying an owner a Willer....

Premium Member Double Trouble
There lived a man and his wife
Who buzzed like bees in a hive
The tension between them was rife
They stung each other with knives
They somehow survived these fights
It got worse when they turned on the lights
She was never a good looker
But was keen on her lips to have a pucker
After botox and filler she resembled a gorilla
His reaction he mouthed to her was mean
Shouting and yelling he let off steam
And exploded like a pressure cooker!

Today’s Thoughts By: Tom 2-25-3030 My day begins early with a flood of quietness. As I sit mute in this stillness, God has my attention. This time isn’t about me but time that God directs. I’ve accepted things the way they were, moving beyond feelings to living by faith. Now that I can see the finish line, Life should have been more than what I’ve settled for. I see my time between birth and death- as mostly just filler. and that’s on me! Tom

Awkward Space
Limericks as stanzas.. is that a thing?

In a little corner, by the window
A tiny, potted, plant does grow
Odd and unconventional
Awfully untraditional
But this is where I tend to go

Something that feels so out of place
Rejected, awkward, filler space
An offbeat
Few square feet
In my mind, along the lines, I trace

We share a moment every single day
When our time is up, I want to stay
Feet hit floor
Out the door
The world around looks beige and grey...
