Fifth Time

A good poem is like a trojan horse invading your mind But I do mind malicious trojan software invading my online poetry

Fifth Time's the Charm

Semi-creatively, Ludwig von Bethovan
sat in his music room, sucking his thumb.

Heavens to Murgatroyd! After four symphonies
more could be asked of me? Da Da Da-Dum

Trump Finally Took Fifth

Trump Finally Took Fifth

Again, Trump has been taking Fifth;
We know what he said will be with,
When received,
Never believed;
Some story, big lie and another myth.

Premium Member A Fifth of Silence

as Chairman Fauch Xi smugly took the stand
the giant red panda nervously clapped
his responses were briefer
than was Adam's tiny fig leaf
a 5th of silence can be a snake in the grass.

Quantum Leaping To Fifth Dimension

domination of insecurity
fades into a mist of lust
extra ordinary times
opening hearts
quickening growth
quantum leaping
to fifth dimension
we are cleaning
the wounds of
the last war

On the Fifth Floor, and On the Narrow Staircases

On the fifth floor, and on the narrow staircases,
Porters raised the piano with angry red faces.
"My friends - you seems to like a light music?" -
Somebody asked them. The porters bruised him!

The Fifth Season

Can memory destroy vision,
  if the tables turn

Can time surpass insight,
  as its distance churns

Can faith supplant reason,
  from its place on high

Can love be the fifth season,
—and our final goodbye

The Fifth Season

Always
A cold
Wet
Shift

Spring rains to summer
Sweat to fall
Rain to sleet
Snow to spring

Water
Sustenance
An element
But also time

A marker
Nature’s clock

Mine to know
That here comes change

Mist
Hail
Downpours
And drizzles
Giving me a chance to brace

Premium Member I Plead the Fifth- Im Innocent

Me and my muse had a fight,
She said I played it too safe.

Our nasty duel lasted all night.
I got so mad; I told her to leave.

She's been gone since October.
I have no tricks up my sleeve.

If you see a lackluster poem,
my muse is missing; blame her.

The Day the Country Died

November 22, 1963

fifth grade
pa speaker clicks on
“today, at one pm c.s.t
President Kennedy shot
he is dead”
our young substitute teacher
gasps then starts to cry
we are silent
school is dismissed early
buses home, no one speaks
our country has changed

Premium Member Fifth Graders Feet of Today

Their feet are not petite. They are huge.
No hiding or sneaking. No subterfuge.
Fifth graders' feet are as big as boats.
Where is the drink me anecdote?

Clown shoes for them might be too small.
If I had their feet, I would never fall.
Preservatives have bulked them up so big.
Here is be tiny juice, please take a swig.

October Fifth Great Day

A-t dawn fifth October,
Y-our day is truly great;
E-arly light of the sun
S-hines gladly on this date.
S-unny day fifth October, brightness is bringing bloom;
A-s the cold chill fades, twilight drifts into the gloom.

B-ad weather has turned
I-nto a better skyway;
L-et your birth give mirth,
O-ctober fifth

Dawn Fifth of April

D-awn fifth of April
I-s breaking early Wednesday;
N-ight shadows disappear,
A-s the dusk fades away.

A-nother dawn fifth of April
G-ives warmth to your heart;
A-fter the twilight is gone,
Y-our fears and doubts depart.
A-im to feel the breeze that brings a thousand thrill;
N-either mist nor fog remains, dawn fifth of April.

Friday Morn Fifth of May

F-riday morn fifth of May
L-ets the new dawn break;
O-bliterating the dusk,
R-eady to let your eyes
A-wake.

M-ay fifth Friday morn
O-pens the day with light;
P-ouring rain disappears,
E-vading the sun so bright.
R-ise of the beacon begins, bringing crimson, not gray;
A-dieu to the Thursday twilight, Friday morn fifth of May.

May Fifth, Garden of Life

spring awakens
i pay the price

seeds blossom
i till soil

helping people carry groceries
i bear the weight of life

as every day
people live and die

a love song fills the air
but somewhere someone cries

distant figures of birds
silhouette sky

idle sky
ocean or void

yet passing clouds
shape imagination

the passing sun casts light
and shadows

The Fifth Season

Not Spring,not late but dark
The Hunter´s Moon is stolen,
Moths take to the woods,
                 as sparks.

And if I could form the night
And wonder at the polar stars
In my palm, the feel of wind
                 would be clay.

Trees are trapped in the half light
Unblessed and unconcerned with warmth
The late snow is trapped and full of sleep
                 as frost.

Premium Member Fifth Avenue

From steppes remote
    luxurious mink coats
  Fine leather boots
    tailored suits

  Fancy shoppes
    five-star hotels
  Back of splashy nightclubs
    exclusive brothels

  Rolls-Royces
    and Bentleys
  S-t-r-e-t-c-h ... L-i-m-o-u-s-i-n-e-s
    cafes serving the finest cuisine

  Wide-eyed with wonder
    passersby gape
  Dreams of Fifth Avenue
    from tottering fire escapes
