I think it's a sin,
Santa's got thin.
Father Christmas was fat,
And jolly with that,
I don't like to complain,
Santa is not the same.

Thin, tummies don't shake,
With laughter, and make,
Children shout out with glee,
When sitting on Santa's knee.

With a lap comfy cosy,
Cheeks chubby and rosy,
Kind smiley eyes,
So honest and wise.

He was the essence of joy,
To every girl and boy.
It makes me sad to say,
Santa's fading away....

to merely okay
to what’s the fuss  
although not entirely ruined
your joy 
on receiving this news

how tragic 
it must be
to be that person
who tells the child

does not enjoy
dropping off
your presents....

To possess a new bike was my deepest wish,
So I asked it of my father one Christmastime,
Launching a childish memory which I cherish!

My dad promised, and he ever kept his word,
In the hopscotch days of skies sapphire blue.
Joy awaited on Christmas Day, ere we stirred,
As the first dream I ever dreamed came true!

His desires but she was very late.

Snow was falling and that made it worse
This encounter was surely a curse
