Why does splendor gray
Why does the flower fade
Once a fair maiden
Now an old maid
Beauty's virtue lies not in decay
Upon my face of earthenware
So many feet have laid bare
Maiolica wearing thin-
My colours now growing dim
Revealing my kaolin
Effortless I fade
It's not as hard as I thought
Don't think about it
Don't hold onto the fabric
Let it slip through your fingers
Honored by her presents ...
Astounded by her beauty ...
Soothed by her grace ...
But sadly she is gone, and
without her I slowly fade.
shimmering days leave
sun’s cozy warmth and bright shine
fade tiptoeing soft
recollections tucked in heart
pining for amber grandeur
Soft light drifts away,
broken thoughts like curling smoke,
meaning fades to air
brushing past my fingertips,
silent whispers lost in mist.
They fade away
Cold poems
Yellowed pages
Unread
Old warriors
Cold souls
Unsheathed
Blades dulled
Forgotten
Words
Buried
In tomes
A single bloom on a thorny cacti
Cheerful and resilient.
Scorching sun beating strong
Wild flower’s heart stout and proud
O’er the barren land.
Silent movies from the past,
Quickly lose their tight grasp,
Seasons shake the residue,
Watch how change
makes all things new.

Fail
to not
succeed try
to make the grade
but never is your effort good enough
wish someone would see who you have become
struggles become
memories
fade a
way.
List’ning
I hear my heart beat
as silence exaggerates
the tempo
and the undying sound surely
subsides

my dreams
tethered
on a string
of thoughts
hope flickers
beneath
clouded mind
wishes adrift
falling fast
on trails
of stars
then fading
within night
DODGE THE BLACK
BURN THE WHITE
CHANGE THE FILTER IF YOU MUST
TIME CHANGES ALL OR DOES IT
YOUR IMAGES WILL FADE
OVER TIME
INTO THEMSELVES
INTO YOUR SOUL
INTO THE WORLD
I tried to fade away today
wishing Pandora had left hope in the box
Fighting to lose
In the most perfect skin
meet the blemish
Hopeful that the next blink will be the last
In my mind I thought the past would fade.
But it still stings my sould like a blade.
I wish I could let the pain go down the drain.
But I cant and everything remains the same.
When we are facing this world
Fading light from your eyes
Fading touch from your soul
Fading breath from your heart
Fading love from your smile
Still. we fade from our dream
It's hard to be the glue
That holds us all together.
If I loosened my grip,
You would both let me go
Without a second thought.
Only when you need me,
Would you notice I was gone.
Putting words on paper is a struggle tonight
It seems that each line is a constant fight
I'm having a hard time to get things to rhyme
I put down my pen, knowing there will be a better time
The lights no longer here.
Inside my heart, silence and dark.
Misery has taken my life.
My desire of believing.
How could I mourn these days?
I lead my soul to emptiness.
None to be blamed but Me.
The sun has set
never to rise again
never will I see the light
that was my beautiful and trusted friend
Hope once rose with each new day
now only darkness surrounds
as I was made to fade away

If for once you win this wonderful world
Don’t build your pride on the platter of pounds
And don’t plant your glory on the ground of glory
Like a feathered flower, they will one day fade and fall
Someday, Some way
I will shine again
The light will hit my eyes
I'll no longer need to hide
The strength I have within
Will surely show again
This weakness that I feel
Will fade and disappear
We voted them in and then cussed
They will be voted out in disgust
The arrogant charge
Of the leader at large
Will soon fade away like Pixie dust

Ripples fade on shore
as there will be next to fade
like a shipwrecked soul
who risks and writhes in defeat
like a dropping leaf on scream
