Wisdom Dictates- Five Second Sermon

Pastor sermonized,
one fine Sunday years ago
about gossiping.
No one ever forgot it.
“Gossip hurts. Shut your big mouths!”

for John Freeman's "Sayings of Wisdom" Contest.
Pure, simplistic and easy to understand. : ) 8/4/11

Monument They Have Erected Horn Limerick

Monument They Have Erected Horn Limerick

By poets I have been directed
Limericks should always be selected
Are consistently easy to understand
To be read by others in high demand
Memorial to my limericks have erected.

Can you imagine?

Dry Well

Read through some lovely stuff today,
Enjoyed the great use of word play,
Some poems were easy to understand,
Yet others seem to me so bland.

So I sat down to write a few words,
Try as I may of things to say.
I found no words would come my way.
So I just penned this 'til another day.

Premium Member THANKFUL FOR BEING BRAVE ENOUGH

Today I’m thankful for being brave enough:

The many times in life when we’re afraid…
when the going gets bumpy or rough…
we don’t have to be totally brave…
only brave enough.

Brave enough is a simple concept
easy to understand
brave enough to take a leap
not knowing where we’ll land

SAND PROMISES

SAND PROMISES

Some promises are set firm in stone
Foundations supporting them forever
Yet in a tide’s constant ebb and flow
Others get washed away in the sand
A pity, but often easy to understand
Well-meant, yet are unsecured below
Unable to survive inclement weather
And unworthy to ascend any throne

Love Came and Stayed

Love – you came and stayed – Just for a short time
But it was enough – for a quick glance - a swift dance
One more music – and one more chance –
Our hearts started to beat a rhyme

The window was wide open – you left and
Can return – if you wish so – by the same door
My house is rich – my heart is poor –
A secret so easy to understand:

Premium Member Positive Space

Snow covered field blankets the land
One single tree stands proud in the space
Silence engulfs this beautiful place
making difficult things, easy to understand

The twists and turns in life straighten out
The anxiety drifts away in the air
It is easy to feel all that is fair
when positive things come about!

My Poems

Read my poems this is what you demand,
But for people to read and enjoy it you must make it easy to understand,
Use simple words or phrases when trying to get a point across,
I know from expierience that complicated words just get people lost,
And it's no fun reading words you dont know the meaning to,
So i hope you like reading my poems easy and simple all the way through

Bhest Erez Jill

I love you Bhest Erez Jill
Believe me cause it's real
Everything I'll do
Just to grow old with you

I want you to know
To let it show
That I'm in love with you
And I won't let you go

I'm not easy to understand
But you always hold my hand
When I'm out of light
You make things seems so right

Be here with you forever
Say no goodbyes, never
Here I'll stay
And I will love you everyday

Tonic

Someone is waiting, I hope not in vain
for you to greet them with words of acclaim.

They needn't be fancy or charming or grand,
just simple, honest, and easy to understand.

Identify something about them that radiates truth,
--dress, smile, posture, maybe their youth.

Cost to you, as you know, is not one thing,
and think of the joy to a life you will bring.

Eschew that which often makes us sardonic,
and know kindness to others is life's potent tonic.

The Celtic Cross We Wear.

THEY CAME FROM EVERY ANGLE BY SHIPS THE SIZE OF TOWNS.
IN IRON CHARIOTS ASSEMBLED DEMANDING A CROWN.
THESE WERE THE FEINDS OF HATE AT OUR VERY GATES,
WITH FOREIGN LEGIONS OF SLY AND SADISTIC MATES.
OUR CLANS UNITED WITH THE PLAN OF FREEDOM FIRST.
EMPOWERING THE THIRSTY, OF OUR PREVIOUS BLISS.
WHERE EVERY CLAN HAD AN ACRE OF EDIBLE LAND.
AND MOTHER NATURE WAS SO EASY TO UNDERSTAND.
NOW THEY HAVE BUILT A MONUMENT IN HADRIANS WALL.
BOW!BEFORE YOU ENTER!OUR HEAVEN AND THEIR HELL!

America's Debt

An easy to understand analogy of the Nations Debt

Sam was in his car going to visit his three nephews
they liked to call him Uncle Sam

Sam got into a car accident and cut an artery in his leg
and Sam was bleeding very badly and could die

A man standing on Sam's rignt side said, "We have to
apply a tourniquet to stop the bleeding or he will die"

A man standing on Sam's left side said, "No, all we need
to do is give him more blood"

Who do you think Uncle Sam should listen to ?
