Therapy

Pull the shades
Dim the lights
Hear the snores
No response
Just the crickets
My art dulls you?
It's my therapy

A Bright Light

hope starts as a bright light that dulls with time and yet somehow shines in the background; though it’s now called a wish

Lonely Thinks

life is a something
which is trapped in jail
it is easier to get in
but harder to be out
think less
life blooms
think more
life dulls
life is not easy

Grief

Like a bruise melting from blue to black, grief shows up slowly,
Appearing in the steam of coffee once shared, a laugh similar,
Yet as scabs heal back to pink flesh, grief’s ache dulls with time.

Keep The Faith

It's that color in the sky of black and white
A faded dull color like dynamite
Remnants of fireworks on display
That dulls the ground where their ashes lay
But soon the wind will blow them away

Ode To My Music

Music is like a painkiller to life. The lyrics match my feelings like a key to it's lock.

          It softens the impact
          and dulls the blade
          numbing the pain
          until it all goes away

Below Zero

the cold
          dulls
subtle senses,
sterilises
            well-being:
unsettles
        the positive
induces
           futility
vanquishes
             desire-
and in silence
                     kills

Scent of a Woman

Cool breezes fills the air of aromatic desires...
The intoxicating scent dulls my
senses and weakens my defenses..
Your fragrance is sweet as a gentle rain..
And those sweet kisses from you,
makes this man soul come alive....

The Last Laugh

Love laughs at life,
Scorns the scourging whip of years,
Dulls life’s sawing knife
And watersheds its tears.

Love smiles at death,
Soul withstanding soil,
Heaped upon the flesh whose breath
Expires. Love’s Death’s foil.

Untitled

‘Neither a borrower nor a lender be; for loan oft loses both itself and friend, and borrowing dulls the edge of husbandry.’
Hamlet, Act 1, Scene 3 by Shakespeare

That $100 you wanted to borrow~
Forget it, I don’t want my edge dulled!!!!!

Pain of Loss

In hibernation, like a polar bear
After the searing pain dulls
Bearable, day by day

Unexpected

Sometimes, things do not go as planned.
Sometimes, you lend, or need a hand.
Sometimes, the small can just expand
Or float off into fairyland.
Sometimes, we do not understand,
Or overrule, or countermand.
It dulls the mind when all is canned;
The unexpected can be grand!

Rain

Wet fret
Rain wets
Wet met

Wet fair
Cold air
Wet flair

Fluid ooze
Wet booze
Storm snooze

Wet cull
Late lull
Wet dulls

Neat surge
Wet urge
Peak purge

Wet room
Big gloom
Wet boom

Wet wit
Ooze fits
Wet bits

Pitter Patter

Pitter patter raindrops are slapping
The windows pelting at the glass
Like chipped bone hacked and splintered
Wind whipped and catapulted
The wood of the house dulls the sound
But the glass twinpained amplifies
The droplets Pitter Patter, Patter,Pitter
An unnatural sound to disturb sleep

In Ragged Breaths

“When the curtain drops, should we not applaud” ~ by poet

age wrinkles the face of youth
and dulls its eyes~
in no time, Death is at my door
a shadow of a shadow...
my ears pretend not to hear
His approach
gasping in ragged breaths ~
His nails
scraping against old bones
Death drinks my tears

Joyous Heart Tenses

Joyous heart tenses, flame flickers Light of awareness dulls Soul is still but ego bickers Poignant lulls, joy throb culls Void dweller, detached stance To flow of life does dance In divine entwined trance Enslaved by senses Joyous heart tenses 13-December-2021 Quietus

A Trinity of Lilies

Three lilies stand in one pot's frame
and dance together to the sound
of their eternal breeze.

Each pure, the same,
no blemish in them found
moving each their different ways,
a trinity of ease.

No overshadow dulls another
nor leaves a lesser shine.
A trinity that needs no other.
A trinity divine.

Gargoyles Jewelled

flaking paint
on peeling buildings
throws
clock fingers
through the last plumes of yesterday
Argus stained waiters
Gargoyles chewing on cigars
Smile till swede
Worshiping the harlequins
Sailors with denim eyes
velvet dolls with braided smiles
worshiping the dreams of night
and the Serpentine dulls grey, disowned

Library Thoughts 2

LIBRARY THOUGHTS 2

Mystic moods mull clear charming clay,
Dizzy daze dulls proud profound play.

Mind musky moods where wise words wing,
Grab gifted good through troubling things.

Taste touching thoughts lasting lines lift,
Prize poignant plot grand gestures gift.

Feel

Ceasing thinking
Love with love inking
Tranquil heart still
Awareness unblinking

Patterns that have been
Habit routine
Mind-body cage
Dulls our soul’s sheen

Divine energy flow
Blissful and mellow
Elixirous mist
Imbibed in stillness slow

Both, the material
And the ethereal
Even our dreams
Everything is real

The Fool

He looks so cool
This ample fool
Pride dulls sharp tool

He wears a smile
Ample warm style
Buzz of old miles

He frames a gaze
Shares wonder's maze
Talks beyond craze

He hurls that swirl
In slurpy twirl
Sense twisted world

He knows not how
Yet strays right now
Beyond just how

Rose Beauty

Life
armed with the fates
   of futility
   besieges.
So be it with the rose,
   her beauty asway,
   pushed around
   by breezy happenchance,
powerless to stop
   her petals
   to wither then to drop
   in faithless raw
      betrayal,
As her beauty of the moment
  dulls to naught
but yet another yesterday
  of faded
  bloom.

The Five Seasons

In this autumn of our season how the gold and silver vie
in heart-warming brilliant colour, precious as the days gone by,
though our spring and summer's ended and we walk in given grace,
each seasons owns its treasure, and reveals its hidden place.
A sure and certain promise, dulls what wintertime portends,
There will be another season, and this one’s without end.

Lessons Learned

The story of the heart is the hardest to understand.
When you are at your weakest,
Love gives you the power to carry on.
At your strongest,
It can rip through your soul.
The process never changes.
Elation or despair,
It's a two edged sword that never dulls.
No armor has been made to protect you from it.
Even though you fear it,
Still you rush to embrace it.
