Like a bruise melting from blue to black, grief shows up slowly, Appearing in the steam of coffee once shared, a laugh similar, Yet as scabs heal back to pink flesh, grief’s ache dulls with time.

The metaphoric depiction, Thomas, resonates meaningfully throughout! Nicely done my friend, Aloha!

For me grief was like the silence of never been, never existed, a sharp and scary terror of never again. For me grief is my dad left behind, tears exposed for the first time over and over again like someone stabbed non-stop. Everyone’s grief is different I suppose.
