Pollination
"Queen Bee,” nurtured by the throng,
The drones in droves bring nectar.
Sweet honey in the nest, shared.
Each generation.

While Watching Golden Globes
While Watching Golden Globes

Probably are watching the Golden Globes;
Long dangling earrings hanging from lobes;
No hims and haws;
Only loud applause;
Delightful entertainers were there in droves.

Listen to poem:
Gifts of a long life,
Graces an abandoned beach,
Emptied shells and vanished droves,

Gifts I made myself,
Faces, an album that stretch,
Empty shelves and vessel dreams.

Premium Member Healing Grief
amazing loving feelings
antidote to pain
arriving in droves
confusing his grief state
his breathing shifts directions
he begins to feel calm

she is at a loss
he has turned to her
words are inadequate
he is beyond repair; his grief acute
she holds on to him with tight arms
not realizing she is healing him with every inch of silence...

Hot City Days

Hot city days
summer's ablaze
in bricks of concrete
and flip flop feet.

Just keep cool
in a hydrant pool.
The block’s a bash
if kids can splash.

Great water fun
in scorching sun
can bring a smile
to any child.

Grown-ups look on
as though they long
to drench in droves
right in their clothes.

Damn the Cause
So it had come to this
Death, at a bullets hiss

Hot shrapnel from o'er head
More brave boys joined the dead.

Eager, so full of pride
On the barbed wire they died

In their droves young men fell
Damn the cause... war is hell.

Premium Member Used To Touch My Toes
Used to touch my toes
Kick my legs in the air
Do exercises in droves
Like I did not care

Now I’m full of donuts
Potato chips and blue cheese.
My ankles are all puffy
I can no longer see my knees

Have not been swimming since ’98.
Weigh now more than a boxer’s weight.
I waddle to my well-deserved fate
Have no one else to lambast or hate....

God's Foresight Teaching
peeling layers off
realizing something is left
the feeling so right

so lovely she is
time and life made me forget
slowdown so needed

once wanted to leave
lying to myself in droves
my heart was my guide

reunion kiss welcomed
hand strokes so medicinal
fingers expose truth

Vibe Easier When We Try

"I am too busy today", said she.
No time to email, she stated.
With great drama, sorrowfully.

Planting petunias, washing clothes.
Good Lord~ I have heard excuses like this
By the droves.

The years go swiftly by, we grow older.
Excuses like these, as fascinating as raw
Perunian Pork shoulder!

Fireside Chat
Black birds in the sky
Tumbling in droves to the ground
Omen for last year

The grass grows greener
Where clouds hide sunlight in rain
The coming of war

I can write the day
However I spell the sun
Freedom is but words

Some search for old links
In new metaphors, poems
Like women change too

Here the radical
Is a root deeply breasted
On the milk of soil

Black birds fall again
From blue eyes of wonderment
The pogram threatened...

Premium Member Boterismo Is For People With Soul
Sponge Bob Square Pants must have originated with Boterismo
I can only imagine the responses by the socialized.
They would not have understood the blockish faces
Or the stocky blocky bodies drawn by Angulo

People with art in their souls readily understood it
Flocking to his shows in droves - duplicating and imitating
His art is not for everybody, but it is for those with soul.
Which is why it is recognized all over the world....

Premium Member Twins Write Differently
Dee was skimpy with her adjectives once again.
Whereas her twin Sue Lee was generous with them.
Neither of them had books that sold in droves or well.
Which twin's words do I like better? That is hard to tell.

Your words are insufficient, incomplete, meager Sue Lee said.
Dee said Sue Lee’s overuse of adjectives hurt her writers head.
I need my adjectives – lithe, lively, dainty, delicate and polite.
The twins disagreed, but both continued to plot and write....

Not Exactly What She Had In Mind
Witchy, with a big fat wart
so horrid not a man would court.

She could have shed it with a spell,
so handsome men would ring her bell.

But Witchy's not the sharpest tool.
In conjuring, she was the fool.

A spell to be craved and adored.
She giggled as her magic poured.

Now she sits upon a log.
Just a big old slimy frog.

Toads adore her big fat wart.
Droves of them hop by to court.

Handsome men, her legs do crave;
fried in a pan or microwaved!...

10,000 Vacant Dwellings
10,000 vacant dwellings
In Manhattan are for rent
Which even a vaccine would prove
Too late to quite prevent.

For people left in droves, their reasons
Obvious and sad –
No jobs or money to sustain
The lifestyle that they had.

The city, minus all the buzz,
Is lacking in appeal
So all those bare apartments
Don’t seem like the greatest deal.

If even I, a city gal,
With New York blood and mind,
Is questioning the urban life,
Will any lease be signed?...

Premium Member Pretty Dhramned Mean
My relatives came in droves to stare at my dead body.
And it ticked me off.
I flitted and fluttered and tried to signal them with a cough.

The only one who saw me was my little granddaughter Ashley.
Age two.
A baby who lived far away,
Who when I was alive I barely knew.

I thought it was strange they could come to my house now.
When I could no longer cuddle them or laugh or be seen
Just a dead body.
To stare at
I truly think this was pretty dhrammned mean....

Premium Member I Love Advice
Advice came out her ying-yang.
Advice came out her pores.
Advice saturated her arms and legs.
Advice that most abhors.

We saw her in the grocery,
We saw her buy her cloves.
We averted our eyes and
We ran away in droves.

She appealed to children
Brought them candy and toys.
They gleefully opened the door
Ushering her in with all her noise.

Premium Member Global Warming
Global warming is not here, they said, but it's been a weird winter
Our winters are usually long, with tons of snow, cold and bitter
We had warm temps of fifty degrees a few weeks ago in January
We had a flood, bugs were seen flying in the air, ants reappeared
Birds were seen flocking to trees in droves, the air smelled like spring
Our government wants us to believe it was just a normal January thaw
We are living these climate changes, signs that global warming is here
