Song
Until drippings of light cease from the days hallow hole,
A veiled moon veils spirits, love carries all our might
Through the bleakness, for what happiness may come
From the wars beating drum in the middle of the night?
Greet death with happiness in this time we should be sleeping.
Greet the morning in death's dreams, sleeping rather than weeping....

No Guts No Story
Burning breakfast bun
See how my creation’s spun
No clip in my gun
Punches in the gut
Crazy ramblings from the nut
Obscure subtle cut
A simple song sung
Reader’s noses often stung
Drippings of my tongue
Write out of the rut
Poetic lunatic’s strut
Burning bamboo hut
Tradition undone
Words simplistically spun
Now my rhyme is done...

Drippings From the Honeycomb
My mouth drips with honey, Lord,
Not a drop do I waste.
Your sweet words on my lips,
forever may I taste.
Yet, honey from the honeycomb,
can in no way compare
to Your sweet taste in my mouth,
when I meet with You in prayer.
My future's in Your hands, Jesus,
my faith, rock solid strong.
You are my Lord and Savior.
I'm right where I belong....

New Year
NEW YEAR
snow is melted
the ruin that is winter
overwhelms my eye
beneath the sun trees stand
like crowds of ragged beggars
the once beautiful
is denied all memory
of where it has gone
the icy house top drippings
ping the head stark reminder
those cold months ahead
but i’ll wait out the next snow
the white blanket fall
marvel the icy branches
wish happy new year to all...

On Dawn's Sweet Breeze
On dawn’s sweet breeze
Fade to blue
in starlight drippings
The sunrise sings
enchanted song
When turquoise tints
horizon’s dreaming
Can morning wait
for very long
~
In hues of gold
and amber teasings
On dawn’s sweet breeze
your scent does flow
My heartbeat swirls
of joy receiving
I breathe a sigh,
I love you so
Good morning Soupers...

When I Desired To Bite
She resembled, a package so well-knit,
Like gifts and fruits of the Holy Spirit.
Like a bouquet of all flowers of Spring,
She had something that left me so longing.
Lo, this little fruit of my aspirations,
I'll never bite, lest I lose her affections.
“Sweeter also than honey and drippings of the honeycomb” (Psalms 19:10)

Thanksgiving Food
Cranberries
Not that canned glop
That jiggles like jelly
But real cranberries
Turkey
Not a loaf
That does not have a taste
But the real thing
Gravy
Made with turkey drippings
Makes stuffing and potatoes
hot, I dream of it.
warm yeast rolls
With real butter
Satisfying
In a surreal way
Pumpkin pie
Garnished with Cool Whip
Announces
Thanksgiving
Throw in people
Old and young and
Laughter
A winning combination...

Dined With Cal
Vanilla ice cream
Creamy butter on my bread
Calories pleasure
Sweet maple drippings
Creamy salty buttered toast
Add calories joy
Fluffy cream pancakes
Strawberry crimson fresh blend
Calories well tamed
Hot pineapple cakes
Squeezed foamy apple cider
Calories for health?
Greasy cheese pasta
Sprinkled egg tumbled bagel
Calories full blast!
Egg pie, peach float tart
Brewed steamy milk chocolate
Calories heart melt....

Stranded Glaciers
stranded glaciers
tear drops stranded glaciers
rolling stone balls from my eyes
bat drippings
in
the
cave
canyons
have
all
run dry
i
am
but
an
thimble
setting
on your
thumb
take
me
on
an
ride
hide
me
from the sun
my poems
are like
an
buck it
eight
seconds for an ride
shouldn't take you that long
to see we are but a waste
of
time
under
manned
fear facers
stranded glaciers

Mr Crocodile's Back In Town
On a sweltering summer day,
Mr. Crocodile's come to stay.
Slithering into shops and stores,
every cold thing he devours.
Children's mouths drop and drool.
They see what's keeping him so cool!
Cats and dogs linger at his feet,
licking up drippings, of sweet, stolen treats.
Cops and fire trucks roar down the block,
with their sirens blaring, chasing Mr. Crock.
Toddler's cry while their mother's scream,
to see him eating all the town's ice cream....

Rain Day
Steady and constant
the rain fell
a streaming curtain clear then opaque wells.
On the rooftop
the pitter patter spell
a monumental flood of rain drops dwell.
Cool and wet
drippings with a history to tell
where each came and flowed to earthen knells.
Unseen sun gilded
in grays and white clouded gels
where neither sky nor tree is clearly quelled.
Sit inside safe
protected from the storming cells
and a rain day is released upon the human shell....

Mysteries of Life - a Collaboration With Chris Green
Spill some wine on this white cloth
So impeccable, too perfect
A painter's canvas, begging
Drippings of red, crimson stains
Vintage patterns seeping
Rose petal brushstrokes beckon
Fingers dip into warm, slippery
Strokes on virgin dust
Drawings, slowly becoming
Outlines of a past conceived
Figurines learning the creative curve of
Life’s mysteries blotted in endless possibilities

Treasure Us
I will cherish you
For the rest of time.
As the stars we ensue,
Escape the light’s climb.
I would go to any length for us.
We could go back to the start
When you touched my heart
As our soft, watery eyes discuss.
When it seems impossible to love,
Our misty spirits melt into one,
Like the candle drippings above
The lands we strive to outrun.
Onward to the skies we’ve found,
A starry abyss will pleasure us.
Even when we're not around,
I shall forever treasure us....

Ballad
Wicked Eyes
Wicked and distorted eyes dancing under the
moon. The wicked eyes listen as screams are
heard in the distance. Wicked eyes pounding
faster than a heart beat and streaks of blood
dripping like rain.
Blood drippings travel up toward the moon.
drying out and becoming crisp as the air
hits the spots. Sparks flash as the eyes
mimic a screaming child.
Silence sits in as the screams diminish and gently close.
The moon now rest and is assured that the
wicked eyes are now in remission....
