A Poet Named Dave For Contest

I once knew a fine poet named Dave
Who wrote poems that Shakespeare would crave
But when doubters shouted
Dave not only pouted
But fried his poems in the microwave

Quote For Today

Dare to dream a thousand dreams; for the dreamers have a hopeful heart, while the doubters but exist.

Enjoy Your Flight

The doubters were stifled as doubters will
When a plane took off on Kill Devil Hill,
Just after Wilbur said to Orville Wright,
“Fasten your seatbelts and enjoy your flight”.

Fire and Passion 7x7

No matter what doubters say,
build your imagination!
Just don't turn and walk away;
You control your destiny,
Never settle for 'second';
Transform into anyone;
Dream with fire and with passion!

Prove that God Exists

     Prove that God exists
       doubters challenge me

Prove that He does not, I say
~ with that, they leave me be

Doubters

Science
Is the art of
Terminating man’s faith
Scientists are those who fear faith
Fearing the believing in the unseen
Security through all their facts
They cannot live with hope
Don’t know true love

Come Pose With Me

Composers compose
     Translators transpose
   Opponents oppose
     R.I.P. in repose...

   Lovers propose
     Doubters suppose
   Bikinis expose
     Writers juxtapose...

So many words end in 'pose'
     I'd continue ~ but I'm indisposed

Who's That In the Distance

Is global warming a reality?
Some scoff—Look at those people . . . Could they be
the global warming doubters floating free
on melting polar ice caps in the sea?!

Time Waits For No One

?"The gun has been shot, the race is done and your still at the starting line and have yet to begun the race". The road to success is perilous, but these perils are what discipline you into seeing your goals accomplished. Disregard these doubters, and disregard your own doubts time waits for no one.

Dream On

Believe in no obstacles and limitations.
A sweet song can heal, cure and delivery a massive storm out of your life.
Shake off depressions, rejections, discouragement, sorrows and tragedies.
Dream on, dream on, dream on, dream on and dream on!
Doubters are foolish to underestimate your power of greatness.

Upside To the Downside

There's often an upside to the downside
of taking the wrong fork in the road.
Everything you thought or were taught,
might be be for naught,
if you insist on doing things your way.
But.. you could rise above the fray.
Then doubters might say,
they helped pave the way
for the genius,
they claim,
was their friend.

Here You Go Doubters

Ceiling décor is something most do not think about
But my auntie created one that makes us all shout
It looks like a teenage girl fell through the roof.
I am including a photo, so you doubters can have proof.
So if you still doubt we have this fall through the floor decor
I dare you to come over here and knock on our front door

Celestial Rimas Dissolutas

This crystal sky’s non polluted,
I can glimpse into a lush world.
Hidden starships hang in the air,
when will they become visible?

Doubters called it convoluted
as distant galaxies still swirled.
All that I manage is to stare,
awed by what shines invisible.

Bottled starlight tousles my hair,
celestial grips me with sly skill.

People Do Change

When backslidden Christians repent and are back firmly in the fold,
some believers rejoice with them, while doubters cast looks haughty and cold.
God, please remind them that anyone, through YOU, can break evil's hold.

The Most Lost Are Now Forever Ready To Succeed

Questions rise and answers fall

Lies crumble and the truth stands tall

Doubters are deceived and the trustworthy fail

Storytellers are mute while the silent leave a tale

The ones once bonded are free to do such

While the smoking gun is free to the touch

The followers are now ready to lead

The most lost are now forever ready to succeed

I Am the Inspiration

I am weak now
But each second, I will grow stronger
And as I grow stronger
I surpass each goal, each opponent, each loss
One day I will look into the stars
And I will know that I am undefeated
Both at heart and at will
That is the day that I grasp the heavens
And become invincible to the eyes of the doubters and the weak
That is the day I become the inspiration

Spring

Like awakening from a long nap Spring begins to slowly stretch Opening her eyes to the dawn Happy that another winter gone Smiling she draws her brush Across the warming earth Life appears in colors sweet Following eyes her pictures greet From bud the flower blooms Life is birthed with happy cries Gray bones now turn a leaf Doubters bend to find a new belief

Death and Vision

The doubters will cross the coals
after the raid.
Apology will not be in attendance.

Sitting on the throne of
cold blooded assassination, do you think
justice demands the revenge ?

Whom you are killing, the body
or the spirit ? Heads will roll
after debriefing.

O my god, politics always
enters the fray, when you are preparing
a carpet of roses.

Against the black moon
a fast unto death
by a virile sunblind ?

Hotlanta

A blanket of white
Adorns the ground
Two red cardinals
Find their sound

A veil of ice
Atop the drive
Winter’s orders
To stay inside

Sparkling eyes
Study the screen
They grow wide
A frosty dream

School is closed
Confirmation
Untouched snow
Outside, waiting

A subtle crunch
With every step
Leaving footprints
Right and left

In Icy Atlanta
A day of fresh powder
Has the magic of Santa
And equivalent doubters

A Reality

Paint a monarch with the wisdom of all knowledge.
who miraculously dispatches unharming fire in hedges.
Throw out the doubters of such a man.
Bow!to the talking, living, start of this plan.
Every soul ever appeared has a realm.
From a hole where nothing was ever harmed.
One souls dream is another souls nightmare.
Some are fools and others do not care.
So the monarch laid 10 rules from paradise.
placing us in school till the day we would die.

The Plan Revealed.

Paint a monarch with the wisdom of all knowledge!
the miraculous dispatches of hidden balls of fire!in a desert hedge!
Throw out the doubters of such a man!
Bow!to the talking living start of the plan!
Every soul ever appeared has a realm!
from a hole they came good or harmed!
One souls dream is anothers nightmare!
some are fools!and others who just dont care!
He laid the ten rules sent from paradise!
Then made it all a school till the day they would die!

Imitation

The Imitators

He has worked in the garden of poetry
Forty years gone.
The soil is meagre and the plants are eaten
By boars, they applaud him with grunts.

To find the roots and transplant them on a page
Or in the garden of literature, is not easy.
The gardener is famed for his genius or a charlatan
Of rose bushes.

Truth rears its ugly head, there are doubters
Who will not be silent, he knows when his plant’s
Has been purloined.
Better than not be read at all.
