Wind peacefully soft
Begins to steadily waft;
Life is colorful,
The Next Man wonderful.

Security is stable,
Killers uncomfortable;
Their aforethought readable,
Every move predictable.


Where there could’ve been riot,
The clamorous are quiet;

Evil is no more presentable
Nor vice understandable;
Nature keeps image rebranding

Compelled to ask, “Who are you?”

In a cant voiced riposte he said
“Wealthy and destitute”,

“I am impartial and prejudiced”,
“Compassionate and derisive”,

“I am modest and narcissistic”,
“Munificent and niggardly”,

“Dignified and indecorous”,

We shouldn’t engage in the stone throwing game,
Or search for some meaningless cause to support.
But resist throwing shade if we’ve done the same,
And never let responses be some derisive retort.

 For each resides in homes fashioned from glass,
And the stones we throw are sure to ricochet. 
When faced with the urge to pile on, let it pass,
And critique each word before having our say.

Sitting next to a person whose breath stinks,
is it alcohol or lack of oral hygiene...
never mind what that person thinks:
excessive drinking is not a medicine!


Waiting for the bus that
runs on a Sunday schedule is tormenting misery,
and worse, standing next
to a smoker who has little consideration for me!


And I assume no other intruder tries
to spoil my trip on this bus cramped with kids
who talk aloud and curse with derisive eyes,
not hearing the bus driver's angered voice!...
