Death Haiku
fragile cobwebs span

convex on my window sill

trapped lives spun to death...

Premium Member Keep It Simple
Why make everything complex
Complicate, replicate, concave, or convex?
I am a strong proponent of simplifying
If there’s a problem, it’s for rectifying!

Complex and Convex
Complex and Convex

His brain became concave and convex
And enough many people to perplex
What erupted had been endemic
Also it turned out to be systemic
Problems possessed became complex.

Does this sound either familiar or dissimilar?

Rawr
The Sun; a guillotine.
With its giant convex blade of light
Slicing through my skull
Eyes first
At 186,282 miles per second.

My floaters explode
Like ejaculant;
Smashing and spattering
Outward
All over the white hole oversoul.

“Tag!” Says the Sun.

“You’re it!”...

into the forest if she could. into the forest with dear wood--
if frozen fire stained glass trellice iced into a spiral destiny
collapsed convex on my skin with my love within shattered
into a million pieces fired up inside me melting us together
into a vase of love exquisitely and eternally....

Love's Delight
I brushed her hand in movie light—
Her fingers opened, clutching tight;
My heart soared high ‘til end of show,
I pulsed with joy, so long ago …

I roused this dawn and touched that hand,
Discerned its convex wedding band
And, as blush sunbeams ended night,
I warmed once more with love’s delight....

Fingers and Toes
the numbers
of age have
no meaning
when love is
using an abacus

she is minus
and i am plus
but meaning
nothing in
abstract geometry

to her concave
i'm convex in an
equation that
perhaps suggests
one can digest

the other or the
other the other
so so together
her youthful legs
rub off on me...

Funhouse Exaggerations
In a caricature of life and all its ambitions,

he licked his salted paws and went into the funhouse.

There, he found new definitions and parameters

in the concave and convex exaggerations.

Bottoms Up

Heavy handed was the pour
convex cap to rim of glass
chasers iced and doubled back
dry toast to soothe an empty flask.

Innkeepers have their history
in treating drunkards mystery
disguising in replete display
the demon haunts their every day.

Listen to poem:
Within the Lines
David J Walker

It’s not the same if coloring within the lines
Other kids are perfect while mine
 wander out the window
leaving the carefully planned
Lesson plans
		Behind

There
	In the park
There are treasures left to find
In convex caves
		A flag that waves
And fables come to mind

Of a boy unable to color
Within the lines...

Underwater
i don't let myself
advance toward the entrance
it's hazardous to contain
so cautious i'm insane
gasping for breath my
descent is reflex to
prevent the combat of
convex flesh writhing
growing while simultaneous
sewing my mouth shut
they refer to it delicately
i'm in a rut
proportionately passed
spoken too fast to grasp
underwater breath
cause & effect
much too low to say
no...

Premium Member Magical, Mysterious Glasses
I once was a slow reader, the slowest reader in the room,
Unable to see the words with my eyes.
And so I went to an eye quack,
He prescribed glasses in black,
Then, no more headaches, I could now become wise.

These glasses allowed me to see, see clearly every word I read,
I now love to read every word that I can.
I’m so glad I have these specs,
They’re my special convex,
I’m now a colossal reading excavating superman....

Listen to poem:
The Season of Grieving Color
David J Walker

The day dawns in golden streams
Of pinks and grays
And the frays of things
In moist and curious blues

What color of the pallor
Could be piled upon
the pallet to bring
In the days news

Seasons are soon changing
Rearranging the specter
Of views we’ve become
Used to

There is little heat in yellows & greens
Scenes of desires in
Cool violet fires
That preens in convex mirrors...

Knowing
Even as trees feel some pensive mattering
from when all motion seems as sensitivity
a faith, I found from holding onto nothing
but to thy honor ~ patience rail, proclivity!

The dust around us swirls, convex in hiding
our true affair with it, constraint abiding,
for in God's care two souls emerge confiding,
as when creation formed its bonded siding.

Seizing rain, two entities residing
in love's true finding, far from shallow breakers riding!...

I Recollect
Ah ! I see stones!
I have lines on my face
They mature me
I see viewpoints - perceived
Mixed emotions
The vibes in my head
Hearing the words that you said
It's compliments?
Isn't it so
These words are all I know
Stones on my mind
What then shall I find?
I am perplexed
It's all convex
Concave? It sunk in
Here we go again
It's in my head
The words you said
"I love you" isn't an issue
Apologies mean nothing
I recollect
I will always remember
The words you said......
