Yours
you shower me
with photos of
some no nos

you needn't
expose your
self for me

i'm completely
contentedly
seeing

your smile
while getting
lost in your

eyes
for
i'm

forever
for ever
forever...

Purring contentedly just being with my love and basking in the afterglow of our ascent to the peak of pleasure, I now settle, spent and cozy, in the crook of his arm like a kitty - purring.

A Sullen Silken Star
Stiffly staring
from a faded
frightened far
is a sullen
silken star.
Scornfully
scattered behind
it’s skittish
skin of scolded
scowling scars.
Youthfully
yearning
for a life
contentedly
cleansed in
candlelight....

The Sound of Autumn
The youth get old quickly while learning goes slowly,
Of even a single minute or second we can’t make light.
When in dreamlike spring we still indulge contentedly,
Susurrus leaves of phoenix trees touch the steps in sight.

My Fridge 5g Dialogues With Me
I have a fridge
who speaks to me...
When I unlock it and find it
the things I wish,
it whistles contentedly...
When I don't find anything,
it gives an unhappy moan...
The technology is much
advanced nowadays...
Even for the solitary...!...

Fool's Paradise
It is easy to dwell in happy places,

When two wise men meet—
	They wrangle contentedly
	over the ways of the world;
When two fools huddle together—
	They concur on almost everything.

Ballistic
what breach of faith
has time wrought?
like cannonballs
through ramparts and walls
each day bores on,
unflinchingly through page after page
of sickening drivel.

the sun contentedly wallowing
in its yellow sty turns over
without a snort.

at day's end it seeks other fields
to root and hog.

Words Like a Fool's Golden Dream
If pretty words are just
A fool's golden dream,
Then I am quite
Contentedly ignorant...
Perhaps poets will
Never be the holders
Of the world's wealth,
But at least they may
Forever be the beholders
Of its richness-
Besides, it's said that
God protects fools,
So at least I still
Retain the right
To feel blessed....

Muse
One of Zeus’s daughters
has been whispering in my ear,
so quietly and soft
she must be very near.

Her unexpected presence
to leave a word or clever phrase,
is genuinely welcome
because for them, I get the praise!

People tell me that I’m good
and I smile contentedly,
waiting for the muse again
and the words she’ll leave for me....

Sidewalk Charm
Collected
Standing quietly smiling
In a throng of hurried stress
Contentedly beguiling
In a soft blue gingham dress
Absorbing city sunlight
Like a sponge in Tarpon Springs
While gulf currents swirl and bustle
In frantic curl and hustle
Not a red hair out of place
With a smile upon her face
Her flashing green eyes sing
As she sees me
Noticing...

Perchance thy soul be heaven bound
With feet firmly rooted here on earth--
Conflict raging whether here or eternity
Perchance, thy soul be heaven bound.
Where does the heart reside contentedly?
From the moment of thy struggling birth
Perchance, thy soul, be heaven bound
With feet firmly rooted here on earth.

Butterflies flitting through the flowers,
contentedly they pass the hours.
From flower to flower they bob and weave
and then at sunset, take their leave.
Merrily their flowers they tend,
'til their lives are at an end.
If only we could open our eyes
and be as contented as butterflies.

Naughtyku
Picked a stray hair
from between his teeth, and she
sighed contentedly.

[I know. Cheeky! But it wiggled its way into my head last night, and couldn't go on without writing it down, naughty as it is. Anyone with puritan constitutions, look away! Look away, now! :) Probably should have held it until someone sponsored a naughty haiku contest. Plus, the categories here are so limited.]...

You've finally got it, just the right rhyme
The words flow like a river, rhythmic in time
Imagery galore, knitted deftly with metaphor
A simile here, an allusion there -- a poem to adore

You post it with aplomb, contentedly sublime
That applause and kudos will greet your new rhyme
The thunderous roar of the silence that follows
Hurls you back to your id, bravado rung hollow...

Beauty of Nature
Beauty of nature…God’s great creation
Looking contentedly toward the horizon
Seagulls flying happily as the sun sets for the day
Calmness of waves amazingly lies on the deep sea
Gleaming like crystals, exhibiting purity

Force of Nature
Is there truly anywhere
There is total silence?
Even one’s heart beats loudly

An ant’s footsteps thunder
A butterfly whips up a tempest
Trees breathe in and out
And rocks sigh contentedly

- Ugh - Toddlers nearby shatter my serenity

They are louder
Than any surounding sounds
Still, they are
A force of nature
One has to reckon with

Grazing contentedly in the meadows
Equal in light as also the shadows
Vacuumized presence draws in the current
Heightened potentiality vibrant
Manifesting bliss within euphoric
Mindless of the outer din and static
Identity vaporised form throbbing
Electrified with love scintillating
Nestled thus in calm of tranquil silence
Rapture bubbling as behoves innocence

Premium Member united in happy thoughts
Fifty- six years of togetherness; some think it is strange.
For Ida and Frank it is normal
They have been best friends since their teenage years
They cuddle on their swing looking over their lake

Reflecting on the successes of their business and children
Two snoring dogs lie contentedly next to them
The orange and pink sunset looks gorgeous tonight
They sit in comfortable silence, united in their happy thoughts....

Monsieur L'Vampyre - WET DREAMS
Why dost thee take the heart of me
and leave alone that part of me
that dreams of you
and makes me do
the things love makes me do for thee;
why takest thee the best of me
and leaveth all the rest of me
to wonder why
to feign; to die;
in want of what will never be;
why maketh you the death of me
and taketh all the breath of me,
to toss and turn
to want and burn;
and wake from dreams, contentedly.

So This Is Love
So this is love,
when I look upon my beloved sleeping contentedly,
cooing like a dove,
a smile forms, memories flood,
growing closer with each passing year,
unaware of the changes ageing shows clear,
your beauty eternally imprinted upon my mind
imprinted throughout time

The only sadness comes when we must part,
if only for a short while,
soon to reunite for eternity,
to walk hand in hand
as youths once again,
followed by a heavenly dove,
So this is love...
