Force of Nature
Is there truly anywhere
There is total silence?
Even one’s heart beats loudly
An ant’s footsteps thunder
A butterfly whips up a tempest
Trees breathe in and out
And rocks sigh contentedly
- Ugh - Toddlers nearby shatter my serenity
They are louder
Than any surounding sounds
Still, they are
A force of nature
One has to reckon with
