There once was a stooped man from Pontiac
Who was an old ailing insomniac
He tried pills
Added to ills
He should have been drinking brandy cognac

Stylish Zelli's shoes are unique,
they stand out in my neat boutique;
what a distinguished look
in a suit nobody took...
green cognac is gorgeous and chic!

Neglige' i bought earlier
Inspired my creative
Genius for
Hot and steamy, yet
Tasteless strip show
Cognac with our meal
Along with lingerie, spark such
Playful moods..

Brandywine, so warm and tender,
lends me a touch of pleasure.
veins like ivy, beautiful and green—
love an elixir of tranquility.
Vin de cognac, si chaud et tendre,
me donne une touche de plaisir.
des veines comme le lierre, belles et vertes—
aimer un élixir de tranquillité.

Verse
Silken linens scented of
last night's rendezvous,
still wafting midst
reticent moments,
cognac and aromatic
candlelight burning 'neath
surreptitious breaths,
as we unfurled
sultry seduction's poetry
'tween clandestine shadows

Caper with asparagus porridge,
accompanies fake ravioli
with supreme sweet eggplant ...
All sipped with a porto wine
of passion fruit ....
Hawaii vermicelli,
rubbing mussels
bread crumbs
crowded larva sections
inside peanut crumbs
portuguese cognac within
and pineapple with avocado
al juice

Cognac & Brandy recollections,
sublime warmth 'tween
smoky exhaled vapors,
wisps of Madagascar aromatics
& blazes of Autumn firesides
amidst a French Château fantasy,
dipped in honeysuckle reminisces
of cardamom spice and the pungent
zest of once upon twilit legends

Imagism
The ache in my back
puts me on track
for a double dose
of rum and cognac
The pain in my feet
I'd like to delete
Pour me a double martini
stick of cherry zucchini
The throb in my head
makes me feel half-dead
I know this sounds risky
a liter, 90-proof whiskey
Thus fortified
no need for bromides
We're flying to Prague
make mine an eggnog

Couplet
Kneel down beside my river
Drink of my pure desire
As you make my body quiver
Setting my Essence on fire
Stroke me until I'm Intoxicated
From lips that taste of cognac
Doesn't have to be complicated
Melting until my body goes slack
Hold me like there's no tomorrow
Embrace me within warm arms
Then kiss away all of my sorrows
Steal my heart with all your charms

I’ve danced on tables
My boots laced high
I have that kinda style
Cognac in one hand
Tambourine in another
I go on for miles
Songs of sorrow
Songs of love
Sweeping the night time air
Stars all aglitter
A toast to you
Glasses raised high in the air
We sang and we danced
We laughed and romanced
Days that lasted forever
Now we look on
As they dance to our song
Our days have but gently ended

What is beauty to the unseeing eye?
Why does it seem to contradict?
The beholder beholds, the beholders conflict.
Are other senses true while the eyes lie?
Listen... to the dawn arise, hear the birdsong.
Feel... the cool, naughty slide of silk on your back.
Breathe... in the sin of aged Italian cognac.
Taste the deep savor of meat smoked all day long.

Today
I think of myself as the dew on pink morning roses,
the ones in aunties garden,
i smell them now that the moon has slipped away,
leaving in its' wake
a circus
of
seashells that were once fine minds,
women who endured the night and
its men who spoke of their own grandeur
after the cognac bottle was dry.
I see them through the prisms of a dewdrop self,
still silent as the morning rose bursts forth.

The rich man sups his Cognac
As he sits and relaxes
Complaining in his mind about
The level of his taxes,
Congratulates himself
On the amounts
Secreted away in
Offshore Accounts,
Wines and dines his Advisor
Just to show his thanks.
The poor man shows his gratitude
For his local Food Banks.
Both profess Christianity
Which seems an oxymoron
Or are the Camel and eye of needle
Out of date and long forgotten.
