bears feast on salmon

No ghosts, demons

In the still of the night

these loathe baboons
brood their chaos

In their slaughtering houses

they see some rubble 

of a ruined love.
But not being above
they fail to see 
what we see
 
as from these tops; their spite are steps we scale to skies;

these tops, so cool 
and also true....

People sit close to the hearth burning fuel
At night, slide their torso into beds padded tight

It is gone. My house
Still stands amongst
Others though
Like hollow cocoons
They conceal their contents
Time was, in those days,
When fences were low
If non-existent
A time when doors
Were shut only to keep out
Mosquitoes and flies
From the evening meal
But now, it is lost
My home is no more
All I have left is a house....

Tracing his smile
If I were closer I would burrow

encapsulated in a microcosm of steel and inner sound
cocoons of personal choices
traveling devices that are prone to human error
and that, my friend, is part of the fun
it's pure chaos and luck 
energy fields bouncing around 
hitting electron fields bouncing backward
energy forward
movement
and my feet are fleet on the floor...

when temperatures rise, sounds of rustling begin
from the depths of a volitional quietus 
small lives will break beyond their shells

and discover how to unleash their power
