Hello

Empty cocoons
Are all that remain
While in the field
Picasso-like wings soar

Changing the brown color
Of a fading autumn field
Beat the wings
Of new born butterflies

Fearlessly
They dance all about me
Touching my nose
Gently alighting
On my shoulders

It’s as if they are saying
Nice to see you my friend
Glad you came by
To say
Hello
