Pinned hearts marked the origin of familiar narrative, of strangers' exploration for outside alternative.

Since Mexico cast off the French
Make sure a Corona to clench
And forgo the Merlot
On Cinco de Mayo
But buy beer which can a thirst quench

Warmth of Similarity

You remind me of a synchronized play of violins
Soothing to the vibrations they play
Your touch is the rhythm of a string
hold me gently with similarity

From top to top
     of hills we skip,
And back again we came,
Hand in hand and
     Toe to tip,
Now we feel the same.

These thoughts to you
     My friend I send,
We always met befor the end.

Bipolar

BIPOLAR
Buoyant joyful spirits
but a garb, tormented
binary mind, prey to
betraying, grave mood swings.
Brazeness doth give way
brusquely to despondence;
blues to sadly, hold sway.

Karma

I tie myself to you
But the ropes begin to burn our skin…
I hold you above the water,
But my grip begins to slip…
I try to save you from you’re a demons,
Though I’m a demon myself.
My meaningful words,
That I so often come across
Of I love you
Begin an avalanche
Of distress and misery.

Premium Member Mayday

Almost died myself the 1st of May, 2 years ago,
Seizing as I had another death of my ego.

Flashing forwards to first 4 days of May just a year ago,
I lost a cousin all because of sins of "the ego."

Suddenly remembering my grandfather who passed 2 years ago,
I recall how he was born post-war on Cinco De Mayo.

Viva! Cinco Demayo!

Freedom and Liberty.
Bought with blood.

We've fought side by side.
Guided from above.

Mexico stood brave.
United States couragous.

Won their wars
And stood victorious!

So let's remember as we celebrate freedom
From our common foes.

That if we always stand together.
We shall surely never fall........

The Pacific

The Pacific

The ship was going down a water mountain
only to be met with another mountain and
going up and up, this dizzying dance no rest
only holding on for life hoping the Typhon
would blow itself out.
Towards morning the see was simmering
down leaving us to try working, but the talk
in the mess hall was subdued.

Cinco De Mayo

Cinco de Mayo
At Mar-a-Lago
Is serving up Mexican lies

Trump welcomes us all
To pay for his Wall
In a scam each Republican buys

You know Wells Fargo
And Mar-a-Lago
Are models of integrity

Well, that big Caravan
Is Cartel to a man
There is no true refugee!

So forget the backlash
Just send Trump your cash
For a Wall that defines liberty!

Fingers are wrongly pointed in accusation
Assuming poems are written for intimidation
Voices raised in needless defense cry aloud
As they huddle and mutter among the crowd

Consider how your allegations must sound
As you toss foolish words and slurs all around
Don't defame those whose troubles you don't know
You've no reason to sow weeds where poets grow

Tasting Petals

I'm tasting the petals and hymn.
It's hard to know where to begin.
Except when my brain falls out and my hate comes in.
I'm tasting the petals and hymn.

I'm tasting the petals and hymn.
I just don't know where to begin.
This time it's my hate that's out and my brain that's in.
I'm tasting the petals and hymn.

I'm tasting the petals and hymn.

I'm tasting the petals and hymn.

Mask

A stranger
No one sees
A mask that came to be
A different person
Who Isn’t me

Because of this mask
I don’t feel free
Trapped
Fearing no one
Will like the real me

I feel like a stranger
So out of place
A fake smile upon my face

Outside I look fine
Even though
I’m hurting inside

I smile when i’m sad
I laugh when I want to cry
Because of this mask
That I hide behind

COPLA CUARENTA Y CINCO: This Bad Guy World

If all the people on this Earth
Decided to believe in One God:
Guess who jobless

Sure, humans need caring from birth
Not at the cost of sparing rod:
Coax hate madness

Who will speak for the Almighty
Must show proof of saintly presence:
Loin-cloth yogi

Not that there weren’t some thought saintly
They served lepers not malevolence:
Power hungry

COPLA TREINTA Y CINCO: This Bad Guy World

If the Russians failed to fight back
We’ll all use the Hitler salute:
No nuclear bomb

Bad Guys can only be held back
When selfless Good Guys join pursuit
To strike them dumb

When you see evil people says
Yi Jing: find refuge in your head:
Fine for yourself

When a people let evil rise
Evil leader sprouts Gorgon head:
People engulf

worldly delight

Bright sunny day
temperatures mild
blissful happenings

Joyous occasion
bolstering freedom
laughs and smiles

Universal principles
thorough determination
brings vivacity

The wind
from heaven's height
filled with happiness, gaiety

Life's responsibilities
can at times
be pleasurable

Evening fosters a
delightful night
enjoying placidity

COPLA CINCO (FIVE) : This Bad Guy World

The way the dice got thrown, it’s toss-up
Tangled under, Yang must suffer
That’s how Worlds turn

The Ferris wheel from down goes up
If Good Guys simply surrender
The World will burn

Can conundrums then drop their mask
Aren’t Villains after all human
Beget offspring

Bad Guys all can’t be brought to task
Nor be made to endorse reason
And let drop sting

Centre-half’s the heart of defence
Danger comes from the Right and Left:
Ball politics

When heart’s corrupt fickle sans sense
Enemy dribbles through with zest:
Goal posts drumsticks

The second line’s the general
Prince and people rally round him:
Alert spearhead

Goal keeper pulls skin over all
Defence cataracts make him victim:
Balls bounce dead ahead
