Rest In Peace, Dear Friend
Flowers wilt
Dead carcasses are buried
Loved ones mourn

Rest in peace,
Your life on earth is no more…
Farewell, friend...

Once a Life
once a life
I lived
filled with amusement
but a fool I was
till fate opened the door
to show me the carcasses
of my joy...

Rusty carcasses,
forsaken by time,
battered by wind, waves.
Once useful and proud,
now broken, forlorn.
The tales they could tell.

The Millennium Bug
the millennium bug
lives in the human brain
hunts, capture, eats all things
stores the game in stomach
but leaves dry carcasses only
to those that feed it earnestly...

I have seen them
Near the distant bush
Shriveled carcasses
Slightly gnawed
Partly “eaten”.
I have not seen - “IT”
And worry
About “IT’s”
Dining habits.

Beef Republic
the republic rears beef cattle
feeds so well dairy ones
and calves are so fat
slaughters them often
but does not sell
does not eat any
does not export anyway
buries carcasses

Jos
Imageries of tribal stench
Streets stretched in stray bullets
Carcasses charred in church
Women slit in the dark
A conglomerate of conference table
Littered with coffee and curfew
Monkeys mourning
Centre crawling
Sentiments sighing
Jos, a shadow....

Moral Survival
Eco-locating dreams of a wounded me

Rejected by the fins cutters of bloody Reality

I had strong arms but could not walk

on powdered carcasses of my friends' hopes

they had only gills...lungs “saved” me...

drifting on a dry land with no melody...

Like a pride of starving lions,

lust's uncontrollable appetites fell upon the

herd of tamed virtues

devouring them to the last

leaving behind only the carcasses

of lofty ideals

for

evil's scavengers to feast!

Premium Member Judge Not
We sank into the sea
Millions of years ago,
Our carcasses set to the sun.
We basked in our own erosion
While our forever-hearts were
scorched into the brown floor,
Wedging what was left of us
Into primordial adorableness.
Escaping into ghost love
Is a natural response.
Let us not judge so quickly....

Death Carcasses
Poison the water supply
And infect the crops with pesticides
Everyone dies
Doesn't matter if you smoke
Or liquor drink
Diet on sugar or fatty food
The healthy die like every other
Person who has lived a life of excess
They just leave a better looking carcass
And cleaner organ's
If they chose to donate...

Napowrimo Day1: Time's Eternal Cycle
NaPoWriMo NaPoWriMoDay1 Carcass death time

Death and life,
Time slips past
As one ends, yet another begins:
Carcasses are left to rot,
While their counterpart is all but forgot.
Yet why the difference in care,
Between mortality's apprentice
And life's most fair?...

the last remaining vestiges of autumn
bitter clingers
parched and weary
shriveled in dismay
harried and harassed by an ill north wind
launch into oblivion
to join the sea of lifeless carcasses
on the forest floor

The Feast
Tongue soaked in tasty red
Painful water; it blots the bed
Vampires are at feast
Doom strikes whoever sucks least

Bursted veins, brawled roars
Shattered windows paving soars
Of beasts; two dead couples lays
Tickling death in its night rays

Hunger exhumes lost appetites
Like woods to termites
Carcasses left for vultures
It was a night of less surfeit pleasures!...

The River
The resonance of Time's ticking is unbearable!
Once you appeared on the warm and soft riverbed
Years passed stealthily
The 'elfin pinnace' glided on and on
The echoing life slowly engulfed you to a hallucinating slumber

And then

Left on the arid banks
Where even the carcasses of buffaloes rot disdainfully
You stare at yourself, shocked and wide awake......

Premium Member White House
White house
On a white cloud
Surrounded by white trees
White hills and
A grey sky

The echo of white silence
Throughout the valley
Except for the heartbeats and
Scurryings of little critters
Digging for food and love

The smell of
Burning wood
Along with the pine surrounds and
The smell of
The carcasses of decaying critters
Worn out by another white winter....

Cry of the Innocent
On blankets of snow
Carcasses of my siblings lay.
I watch you now
Walk away.

Moments ago,
Your greedy eyes, knives,
Merciless shadow
Had snatched their lives.

As you merry about
The cozy fur and trophy heads
I prepare to ready the shroud
Tears piling around in hundreds.

Justice waits for you…

Justice of nature…

A world dry of animals, foliage, and hue–
Nature’s punishment for our blunder....

Dead Butterflies
After all this, what is it for?

I climbed a mountain only to face a brick wall

Drowned in my own sweat and tears

Wishing I had cried even more

I smiled when I saw

the flowers atop the trees

Only to venture nearer and see

that they were only snowfall.

Now I am torn

by the wire-like branches

Worn

by the whiplash of wind.

Buried

under carcasses of butterflies

Watching the stars fall.

After all this, what is it for?...

Season of a Million Carcasses
When the carcasses if the great
      Befall a soft death,
      The ambience of gold,
      Beneath their master
      Encompass a backwards halo.
      The deity is waiting,
      Betrayal of the seasons,
But only the natural cycle of life.
      Each day more and more
      Soldiers fall valiant,
As peace keepers of nature's order.
The season of the fallen begins again,
In repentance as it has always....

Broken Desire Highway
deep brush brown her locks
turned my key
pleading nutmeg eyes
her lips, face dried out from
too much jesus not enough sex

and here not even a cold hollow kiss
could dampen the warm nest we twigged

together a million miles stranded
 off broken desire highway

here flesh puppet carcasses
burn their sidewalk gaze into the ancient wind rage

and cornered angels sing rock of ages to broken ears
who would hear
a song rising up to paradise...

Fetal fettle dead carcasses
