Naked Greed Meets Raw Power

    Electricity crackles in the air
    roller-coaster careening
off its track as silver trumpets blare

Gangs teem and thrive in jungles
    from Africa to American streets
        shells of bodies without heartbeats

    Naked greed meets raw power
    each devours the other
         ~ carcasses to recover

I stay in my mind in disbelief that parents do deal with teens the way we were dealt with! Our grandmas and the elders we respected and dared not join gangs.

Good one - two major players - at large - clash - the result can't be good.

Agreed. Why can't they see it that way?

Hello Gershon, You hit hard with raw nerves exposed with the chaos of unchecked power and greed. I felt the electricity, the clash, the aftermath. You have a fearless way of shining a light on the world’s darker corners, never flinching from the truth. Great Honesty! Spring Blessings, My Friend, Daniel
