Captivation
When roses seem as though blue whirlpools,
I find myself lost in their bloom....

I Tasted of Temptation
I tasted of temptation
With a pinch of infatuation
A touch of captivation
And a dash of imagination
With heaps of fascination
And a sense of excitation
With this newfound jubilation
You’re my favorite fixation...

Captivation
A river holds captive
the baroque colors of trees
that stand guard, honor.

Its joyous flow
travels under the umber bridge
whose reflection

forms an eye, open.
It is a pallette of Autumn,
a watercolor sky....

She
A beautiful woman
who has the power to transform my soul;
sweet captivation,
breathless enchantment, I lose my control;
spells suspend reason,
a siren stare which I cannot withstand,
emboldened by love,
filled with such longing when I hold her hand....

Incurable
Our lips barely touch.
I breath in the taste of you.
You linger on the tip of my tongue.
Softly brush the edges of my sentiment.
Near enough to touch yet out of my grasp.
Off limits. Forbidden. Not allowed.
Futile sweet captivation.
I am utterly without cure....

Captivation
Roses green, mauve and yellow,
one look, one touch turns me all mellow,
the fragrance, the delicacy,
the stillness among these,
a feeling of awe, captivation,
may divide the floral nation,
a glance, gives me a sense of great appreciation,
of the natural, beautiful, world at our fingertips....

Debris
Captivation
Replication
Reinforcement
Of the demonstration

Lying anger
Silent quiver
Noisy confessions
Of what we never
Had the guts
To ever accomplish
So we sit here
Waiting for the end of it

Reincarnation
Of disintegration
Is the reflection
Of pride in our nation....

Premium Member Until Rose Sunset
butterflies on blooms-
a tango with destiny
in daylight colors

lured from miles afar
in scented days of summer
as hues catch their eyes

the fields gone wild, and
beauty wings in the sunshine
'til the rose sunset

Intrigued
Intrigued..
Mesmerized by the beauty of eyes..
A deep trance..
Deeper then an ocean..
Astonishment and captivation..
Intense glare that speaks..
Speaks to the soul..

A magnetic electricity..
Magical communications..

Intrigued by the fascination
Eloquently embraced by the depths of the soul..
The beauty of eyes..

An open window to the soul.....

Sharing what we have in common or delineating our differences through the medium of wrought words communicates a compelling narrative - Captivation of beauty, passion of love, kindness of heart, joy of happiness, tragedy of tears, hope of healing, wit of wisdom - the grand gamut of human emotions wouldn’t be shared if not for the language and vocabulary of Poetry.

With the Blank Faces
Her gait strides past me with captivation
Nothingtheless howling with tranquility;
That tranquil soul lingers with inevitably.
The forcing blow left me in a billowing nation,
Pondering this thought ‘is this my revelation?’

The next unique soul has an intruding pace
In a decelerated motion unlike her peers.
Although the great wall of wind interferes,
Who could dare replace
Our hearts embrace?...

Premium Member Every Thought Captive
I’m captivated by a verse from Paul: take captive every thought that enters in so that you might obey. A cry is raised above the din; hard pressed, I am assaulted, under siege. To me! To me! I hear my lord and liege and cast my eyes on him, for when he’s standing tall, this world’s enticements pall.

Violets On the Hill
Majesty of color, so rich, my words are still
I gaze upon their beauty, their promise to fulfill
To elevate the senses, to make one lose the will
To forfeit captivation by the violets on the hill

In regal blue and purple vein, to echo lover’s thrill
The whites and pinks of innocence in symbiotic drill
In scarlet reds, a theatre of nature’s palette, twill
I think I'll know forever, the violets on the hill...

Seraphs Hibernal Wasteland
She peers at captivation
Moon swindling her frore heartbeat
Beams tearing the soul outward
She stands firm with ground

Wings sprout out, after ice thaws
Whispering desolation
Whirls around her and she cuts
The emotion out

Forgive her please, if you will,
For she only spreads her wings
For those who can captivate
As well as this moon

Premium Member Beauty of Writing
Beauty of the writer within
Heaven’s wonder
Soulful finish
Words shout out
Journey
Distance from a far
Horizon to reach
Words after words
Sentences being the escort
Emotions bound
Heart expelling
Storyteller verse
Time with the need to write
Captivation delight
Quorum focused
Fed up
Need to say
Beyond the essay
Day and night
Sometimes writing while in a plight
Can’t be silent
Yet humble
Beauty within
Thick and then
No pretend
Finish at the end...
