The Bountiful Yes
you are
always welcome
in this place

when
your heart says

A Poets Food For Thought
a madcap poet
eats nothing but cantaloupe
prose never sweeter

an everyday sane bard
stomach sets off a raucous
he is starved for words

Premium Member None As Sweet As You
Watermelon, honeydew
   Cantaloupe and peaches too
With Nature's nectar all imbued
~ Yet none as sweet as you

Tea steeping, coffee brewing
   Glazed honey-carrots stewing
Their aromas, so inviting
~ Only you do I delight in...

A man of Wyoming ate cantaloupe
While watching some galloping antelope
To his aunt he said
You must truly wed
A right proper woman just cantaloupe...

Latest Scope Should Join Poetry Group
have heard latest scoop
do join poetry group
then should have some soup
(take ride on a sloop)
(stand under a stoop)
(around start to troop)
(be thrown for a loop)
(clean poop from a coop)
(clean up all the goop)
(then jump through a hoop)
(then eat cantaloupe)...

Desirable Dawn
Desirable dawn

Silhouettes, shapes,
  clouds backlit
   by a distant sun
  rising slowly
      in the east
   Cantaloupe swatches,
       painting introductions
    of a desirable dawn
  Draping the sky,
    illuminating my heart
       to a brand new day
                with you

Good morning Soupers...

Eggs
How happy are orange carrots!
Are you upset by how colored they are?
Does it tear you apart to see the carrots so chromatic?

I cannot help but stop and look at brown walnuts.
Are you upset by how dark-brown they are?
Does it tear you apart to see the walnuts so brownish?

How happy is the wooly cantaloupe!
Never forget the soft and addled cantaloupe....

A Beautiful Winter Day
A beautiful winter day On a chilly morning as the sun peeks over a distant horizon tinting hazy skies in faded cantaloupe and butter cream swirls, a tree line silhouette stands guard, ready for the start of another beautiful winter day, as I sit sipping a hot cup of coffee waiting for you to wake, so that I may start mine Good morning Soupers

Just Another Day
~ I gaze at the sunrise, it’s apricot view While spending my morning just thinking of you It’s glow on the heavens a magical scene Of lemonade wishes and cantaloupe sheen Though still it is muted an off color shade As something is missing this dawn now displayed For until your beautiful smile comes my way This morn will be merely just another day ~

Starting My Day
Starting my day ~O~ On a misty morning as the sun peeks over a distant horizon tinting hazy skies in faded cantaloupe and butter cream swirls, a tree line silhouette stands guard, ready for the start of another beautiful autumn day, as I sit on the patio, sipping a fresh cup of coffee waiting for you to wake so that I may start mine Good morning Soupers

If cantaloupe
Could elope
and marry a honey dew melon

What would happen
If a cabbage out grows the garden
As crabgrass and dandelions rapes the fruits and vegetables

All this and inclement weather
What's the matter
Cantaloupe cancels the wedding?
Why! you may ask amongst the dandelions and crabgrass
Because they cantaloupe

Flavorful horizon
Yellow sun hot like white onion
Cantaloupe moon
Sweet as butter briskets
Trees those greens like broccoli
Valley deep of soup stirring gravy
Baked mounds rain drops
On golden sands risen
Flavorful world
Delicious earth
Spinning matter like in a blender
Containing mountain tops of chocolate
Flavorful world sweet as caramelized sugar
Edible matter

Premium Member Fruitful Summer
Lemonade soaked sunshine
Peach sweet heat
Watermelon waves taste
Of graham cracker sand
And nestled pomegranate pebbles
On strawberry beaches

In pineapple green grass
Mango daisies dance
Marshmallow clouds dot
Blueberry-smiled skies

Tangerine sorbet sunset
Kisses plum freckled stars
Sprinkled through blackberry night
Under the cooling cantaloupe moon

Until blushing raspberry currents
Awake the honeydew dawn.

In Theory
certain minds can be juxtaposed -
one next to the other,

such that
a line -
         can feel…
	                   - like a spike!

or a cantaloupe-
	      …
		 - can graze.
-----

there are sectons in our mind -

that can run,…
		            parra

		                    llel!

                   - and swim!

they can swim…
		 inside (?) themselves…

they can -

        fly....

Premium Member A Fruitful Fruit
The smell of cantaloupe is enticing
Yearning to feel it’s smoothly texture
It beckons me to it with an unworldly call
The slippery flesh is on my earthly skin
As I hold the fruit it embraces me,
How sweet! How kind it is!
I sympathize and crave it!
A plant that is living and purring
Communicates to us with undecipherable
Decibels that can be heard from beyond our senses
But, I’m hungry; so hungry!
Tearing apart it’s flesh
It’s now a part of me; broken down to a
Molecular level....
