Naked birthday cake
toddler on floor
covered in frosting
Fresh warm cakes smell like your home,
as if a friend on the phone.
It can make you feel calm, safe.
A part of you – flesh and bone.
All the French
I can take -
piece of cake.
A baguette
or croissants?
Paris tempts.
Cream inside;
lick my lips.
Morrow’s trip.
C - Cream filled, jam oozing, sugary delight
A - Almost orgasmic
K - Keeps me happy thinking of
E - Endless dreamy doughnuts
Good and sweet
Non-sour
Enough for tomorrow

A four-layer
Chocolate with light icing
