The raccoon is a burglar …
There’s no door he can’t unlatch.
Baby hand-prints in the butter?
You can bet Raccoon’s found that!

One night he definitely crossed the line,
tip toeing 'round thinking everything was fine,
dog suddenly aware,
caught burglar by tail,
taking a big juicy bite out of crime.

Alarms and dogs asunder
Burglar guards and electronic thunder
Rising crime and hurtful glances
Wary of taking even careful chances.
What are we afraid of?
Better to try and cage a mirror
For we
Are the evil.

She was a burglar
With the lightest touch
She stole bits and pieces
Until all that was left
Were the bones of a dreamer
And the lips of a fool
Lips… that call out
For a beautiful thief
That will never return

I know of a parrot called Lewis
Whose impressions went right just through us
With his amazing charm
Like a burglar alarm
When he did, he'd always confuse us

Bubbling up the tendrils of the inflamable cups
Filled to the brim with the dense brown odour
Of the maddeningly reddening valentine tulips
Surrender your sonnet to the unbending burglar

Dirtiest of men in the cosmos
Is not that hater of cleaning fluids
Ring-leader of genocide he is not
Tiger-leader of a nation he is not
Irritating witch in society he is not
Earnestly rich burglar he is not but
Smack traitor of societal virtues
The corrupter of the young is dirtiest

Unarmed
If you keep a man unarmed
He will be pretty unharmed!
Precautions or measures
Work but increase seizures.
When mankind was unwrapped
Humankind was not raped;
When nudity filled the kingdom
There was no peeping Tom!
Should you lock an empty box
Inside, find some burglar fox!

Here lies a man who criticized
His wife’s baking of apple pies.
A burglar shot him
In a battle grim
It was truly a swift demise
Clues are sadly missing
But his wife is kissing
New guy in town
With hair of brown
No I am not dissing.

There came a stranger, one dark night,
With no one to talk to, no kith or kin.
He was strong and wiry,
Tall and burly,
But still a limp in every step.
'He must be a burglar', said old Tom by the bar,
He was the talk of the village for quite a while.
But who knew of the timid soul that lay beneath his hide,
With a broken leg and a broken heart.

Burglar breaks into wrong house
One angry home owner he did rouse
Tough Grandma throws a trash can;
wildly swings a frying pan
He scurries away like a mouse

Limerick
When someone steals your heart
And whisks it right away
You never see it coming,
It’s just another day
When love is unexpected
And you’re taken by surprise
Swept up by a dancing burglar
Your heart willingly complies
It’s when you’re just not looking
That you may find your love
When one charming intruder
Dances in from up above

I put a bug on you!
it was a lady?
it was a vampire?
it was a boogar?
No, it was a bug!
A mugger?
A burglar?
NO! A BUG!
Why is it .. red?
Is it dead?
It crawled with six legs - -
to my head! ..
right to the crook
of my arm,
Will it cause harm?
Honest!, that bug (CRUNCH!)
that bit you,
My friend!
is a bloodsucker out for lunch
That's it!
That's ALL!

Said the rattlesnake to the spider
I've seen you before
The prey smiled
you've been here a while
Conscience clear
nothing to is to feared he surmised
Said the smiling gateman
I've seen these times before
Cat Burglar agreed
I've been here before
Said the late Man
as he took the key
I'm in now
The Janitor asked
what took your time
Never lost, but doubt
you take it away

An odd noise
burglar?
raccoons?
opossum?
murderers?
home intruders?
My imagination is afoot,
and it is conjuring up some interesting scenarios.
A second sound.
also unknown.
on the porch?
in the garage?
in the bedroom closet?
are they coming to get me?
will this be the end?
are they brutal?
are they mean?
are they monsters?
I am deathly quiet now
waiting for them to get me.

When is a burglar
Not a burglar
That is when he is
Dwelling in the House
Of the Lord
And when is a sinner
Not a sinner
When he is sinning'
For the grace of GOD
What doth a
Gossiper be if he is
Spreading the word
Of God
But,
A source of discomfort
For thy own enemy
And
A conduit for us all
During the
Post coming resurrection
Of the first coming
Of the Prince of Kings'

Burglar-exploits of Al-Qaeda and Osama Bin-Laden
Saintly-looking, yet, by Satanic powers crime-ridden
Terror-tied, adventured into frightening the nations
From Los Angels ignited their hellion-operations
triumphed razing the tip of the World Trade Center
Could they, yet, into the united household, forever enter...?

Mans inspiration steals its way
Unobtrusively to mind
Like a cat burglar on a heist:
Stealthy, but it comes not to rob
Intellectual property
But to deposit a priceless gem
Still unpolished yet nonetheless
Precious to a creative mind.
Unlike a diamond in the rough
this gems luster is most fleeting
whose innate beauty potential
is measured in nanoseconds
thus leaving little precious time
to create a faceted gem.

Vocal, nocturnal, creepy
Silent and sneaky
Binocular vision, sharp sight
They are active at night
We are asleep
They are awake
Our lives are at stake.
"Do not trap yourself into an owl's hooting sound where sad nights linger through the blackness of a hound".
Note. It's not the devil it's the People who work for the devil.
Lesson.Honeyed words and furtive movements are not risk free.
Moral.Police meharban to ulu gulu pehalwan.

The Heist of the Kidney Beans
By Elton Camp
In Pascagoula, Mississippi a burglar did grab
Several times from the drug store some Lortab
The Fred’s store manager very angrily griped
Although Lortab was the only thing he swiped
The pharmacist decided he would make a decoy
So a funny trick was what he decided to employ
Thief came but the pharmacist wanted to throttle
He found only kidney beans in the Lorbab bottle
(Note: true story)

Footsteps in the corridor, quick turn on the light
Could it be a burglar or a ghost that’s looking to fright?
The sound is getting nearer, my heart is starting to pound
I’m getting rather nervous now, as I put my ear close to the ground.
The sound has stopped now, the thing is outside my door
I’m holding my breath –I’ve never been this scared before.
The door creaks slowly open as my mother steps into the light
“still awake? Time to sleep son, see you in the morning. Goodnight”.
