The Stranger

There came a stranger, one dark night, With no one to talk to, no kith or kin. He was strong and wiry, Tall and burly, But still a limp in every step. 'He must be a burglar', said old Tom by the bar, He was the talk of the village for quite a while. But who knew of the timid soul that lay beneath his hide, With a broken leg and a broken heart.

Welcome to Poetry Soup. I welcome you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
