BUMMED

Ann delivered peaches and plumbs.
Bob could only give Ann breadcrumbs.
Ann’s fruit very sweet.
Bob’s crummy crumbs cheat.
Why does Ann’s fruit only draw bums?

Feeling Bummed Out
Feeling bummed out, don't know why, the only emotion I feel is, I want to cry.....

Feeling bummed out, don't need a reason, I get depressed no matter the season.......

Feeling bummed out, and I don't even care, for on my sleeve, it's my heart that I wear....

When I was a child my birthdays came
As seldom near as never.
While now it seems they’ve speeded up
And are coming at me ever.

I’m sorry to be such a jerk;
I really need your shoulder.
I’m bummed each birthday when it comes
Will find me one year older....

Premium Member Have You Ever Bummed a Cigarette
Have you ever bummed a cigarette
or a razor blade like Gillette

How 'bout stealing a place in line
or someone's coat that fits you fine

And surely you've snatched a sugary snack
sticking out of your friend's back-pack

I've done all these things and even more
~ Someday the Big Guy'll even the score...

Ostracized Not Secularized
There was a man who was thought to be numb,
Some even said he was dumb,
But he tried to live a good life,
Married a wonderful wife,
And all his critics were bummed.

His friends were pretty sparse,
They'd rather he be a farce,
It's lonely to live in Truth of course,
One must be as strong as a horse,
...Much easier to be his arse....

Broken Plans
Plans are often broken;
That’s just the way it goes.
Though written down or spoken,
We should still be on our toes.

For all the best intentions
May topple and collapse
And all our interventions
Might not fill in all the gaps.

We may feel bummed and thwarted
But the only worthwhile course
Is to have Plan B supported
Or to wallow in remorse....

I am going to write a funny poem
Because I am tired
Yeah that's why
Zzz do you know what that is?
But how come I don't?
Grumble am I?
Hide will you?
Grrr
Bummed out?
Just for you
In your dream lol
Tumbled
Great
Hmm
Hot cycle, will ya?
Heat is what I need haha
Grrr
Get your thinking straight
Not
Hmm
Gee
My feet are tired
Yup
Hmm
Huh?
Gee...

Poem For Spitball
Watching "Law and Order"
and feeling a little bummed out
I pick up the Times
and see that my team - the NY Metropollitans have
have lost
  Perhaps I should
    re - read the
baseball stories of my youth
   the Chosen and Bonus Pitcher
but instead
I lay down to dream
    try to forget
the world situation
  Pick up a pen
and write about BASEBALL...

The hands
are quick
to pick
the keys
to play
the tune
"Chop Sticks"
No sharps
or flats
Go left
Go right
Move up
and down
white keys
to pound
to make
the sound
of glee!
The blacks
are bummed
they missed
the fun
to make
a song
so bright!

I once robbed the cradle. . . and cuddled a sweet cute boy three years younger than me on the bus ride home from my last church camp. He wrote me my first year at college. It bummed me out to later learn he then dated my younger sisters! Written by Andrea Dietrich in a contest judged 10/16/2015 For the Trashed #3 Contest, sponsor, Broken Wings

Warm Days Are Ahead
Warm days are ahead but not soon enough, cold days still linger Winter has been so rough. Warm sunny skies are just beyond my reach, but Winter wants to hang on just like a tormenting leech. I truly can not wait for Spring to finally show, but first things first we have to get rid of this snow. Copyright © Cynthia Jones Mar.13/2015 I'm getting bummed out by Winter. Enough is enough already!!!

The various contests inspire me to write,
After writer's block the previous night.

However, most of the time, I get a NA,
I used to get bummed out; now it's ok.

You can't win them all, have a strong chin,
The fact I'm still writing is a win, win.

A winning entry comes in various forms,
Was I true? And stepped outside the norms?

I said that all to say that a NA is a win in disguise
But you can't see it with your physical eyes.

Sagging Balls
I stripped down to my skivvies
Revealing all flab
Something is sagging
I think it's my BALLS
MAN! am I bummed
Can't examine the rear
Who would laugh
but the kids drinking beer
Their's are nice and firm
While ours is dragging skin
The bulge on my weenie
is old age coming in
When I go to the john
the diaper is smelly
especially the parts
that connect to the belly
When worse comes to worse
My uncle makes house calls
To the old and weary
geezers with sagging balls...

Harmonica Man Heals the Blues
Play a sad song for me harmonica man
My mood is bummed out, I feel second hand
Keep it smooth but no high note
My mood is low, I will only gloat.

Let the song remind me of a love I lost
I’ll pay you well whatever the cost
so much like ‘love story’ crying on my pillow
I am lovesick like a weeping willow.

The saving of hope is futile, it’s stifling me
Play harmonica man until you can see
my heart shedding the memories to get thru
snuffing the past to let life become new...
