Broken Plans
Plans are often broken;
That’s just the way it goes.
Though written down or spoken,
We should still be on our toes.
For all the best intentions
May topple and collapse
And all our interventions
Might not fill in all the gaps.
We may feel bummed and thwarted
But the only worthwhile course
Is to have Plan B supported
Or to wallow in remorse.
