Poem For Spitball

Watching "Law and Order"
   and feeling a little bummed out
I pick up the Times 
   and see that my team - the NY Metropollitans have 
have lost
  Perhaps I should 
    re - read the
baseball stories of my youth 
   the Chosen and Bonus Pitcher
but instead 
I lay down to dream 
    try to forget 
the world situation 
  Pick up a pen 
and  write about BASEBALL

Andrea Dietrich July 9, 2017 at 7:32 PM Saw this one too! Of the two authors you asked me about, I think I have only read Tolkein and I loved Lord of the Rings. But STephen King is my biggest fave.
