somewhere down deep, everyone has some kind of love of life. Down deep to the
bare bones of instinct, the mother of all reasons, survival spends it's sway....

Lay!
Bare bones,
stew'd in smoke of eye--
sun man,
send no buzzards unto me;
the canyon is my home
red rock walls
coyote calls
all in all,
the A-Zone is the place to be....

   The expression ‘bare bones’ bothers
      me because of what it implies
    about all sorts of other bones, that
      they have lots of meat on them

    when the truth is they often don’t ~
       like discount vs. economy-class

Retold Journey
Insane
I turn around
an amputee

to live, for not living
fighting the inner war
speared,
lacerated,
like neanderthal in cave

my weapon
the serrated moon
cried in fluted dark

a glimpse of bare bones
the ash of a bleeding dawn
my shuttered courage
in urn
there was only one evening

Frozen Solid
A lifeless wasteland
With no escape
No sound
No single date
Frozen solid nightmares prayed
Bare bones pricked, cracked and blazed
Phantom birds wouldn’t chirp
Silent stupors waited still
For life to disappear
To break a dreamless state
To stop and freeze
To disappear

Premium Member The Question of the Brave
Is this it?
The reason why we are here?

Is this it?
This cost seems so dear

Is this it?
Now the music falls silent

Is this it?
Vivid pictures of loved ones mind sent

Is this it?
Now we look into each others eyes

Is this it?
Bare bones, bare minds to hearts cries

Is this it?
To protect other people we die?...

Older chatbots, just like people, show signs of cognitive impairment, failing on several important metrics in a test normally used on humans.

Dancing on my own grave,
both sides of the same coin;
The power’s in the flip;
Is it righteous or the night?
A slow waltz can give lip;

Dancing on my own grave
rattles the underground;
Unruly sounds fill the air;
Ombré locks dressed to kill,
a bit devil may care;

Dancing on my own grave
the necromancer moves;
Calling the wrong magic;
Bare bones expand wanting,
nowhere near poetic....

Slashes and Crashes
Slashes and Crashes

Slashes and Crashes
Our thoughts and buying habits;
Way we look at things.

About budget crunch;
Was bare bones even at lunch;
Put some in savings.

Could be other things,
Did not think about before;
Others suggested.

They could not hear me
Or forgot what they have head;
From brains disappeared.

Was it wire-tapped;
Or those whose wires were trapped,
Whose lines had been crossed.

Bare Bones Bob
Pretending he has all he needs.
On two wheels of ILLUSION, he rides his steed.
EVENTUALLY the ride is over.
To find him lying in a bed of clover.

Reminicing is his favorite game.
You'd never know he feels any shame.
Partytime comes and he fades away.
Attentive INFUSION leaves him in dismay.

Longing for a comfortable corner.
Always seems the INEVITABLE mourner.
Concience sighs with casual levity.
Evoking riches of unusual CREATIVITY....

Photograph
Send me a photograph of you in all your glory,
Stripped to the bare bones of beauty
And smiling in the noonday sun;
And I shall build my dreams around imaginary stories,
Walk in the paths of love and duty,
Until my empty days are done.

Send me a photograph of you in lavish poses,
Naked in the dew soft dawning
And lying on the Summer grass;
And I shall see you overshadow beauty of the roses,
Drink of your soul each waking morning,
Until my passing comes to pass....

Winter
Winter rises  and snowflakes fall
laying out a stark elegance
of pure white untainted beauty
Winter reduces everything to the basics,
to the bare bones of life
only the underlying structure is left behind
with time, we too are reduced
to our bare essentials, the bare bones
as our frailty comes to light
our bid for eternity slows down
and the winter of our lives
draws to a close, but life goes on, as
winter gives way to spring and
new life begins again, as winter ends....

He
He was is down for a scheduled maintenance. The talking angels need to refit and tweak the words he has to speak. Janitor ghost have to refit new software. Bare bones need to be given new dance steps; disjointed poetry taught to walk upright. Night and day cogs had been turning, turning, mind oil burning, burning, but he is doing good; he is just doing fine. The three Muses and their staff will get back to you soon as they bring him ever so gently back on line.
